The 707 Sonoma County Thread - Scandia died and no where to play!
This thread is being created in hopes of finding any players around the Sonoma County area who are willing to meet in Santa Rosa for some fighting game action. Post here if you live in the surrounding area and wanna fight! You can also reach us on AIM at the screen name “n33ss” (without the quotes of course) if you don’t feel like posting. We prefer 3rd strike, but we are down to play whatever as long as it isn’t 3d.

Most Northbay 707 players go to an arcade at the mall in Fairfield (Solano County) called Tilt. You guys are more than welcome to come for tournaments, which are once a month. Here’s the link on Google:
It’s about an hour drive, but it’s the closest thing you would have to decent competition. Click here for the location of the arcade in the mall. JCPenny to the right, Mervyn’s to the left (both in red). There’s parking outside between these 2 locations for easy access to the arcade. How many of you play out there? What location (arcade, house, etc.) do you play at?
Thanks for (some of) your replies. The whole reason for this thread is to find players within a 15-mile radius to come get their fight on. We have about 5 people who play consistently at my house with a couple of sticks with the ps2 version. It’s kind of a downer to have to drive an hour to find any relatively decent comp.
Is Sonoma County really this dead? Come on, people. Someone’s gotta be playing Street Fighter 1 hour north of the bay.

lol you shouldn’t consider yourself the best in 707…plus tilt’s best would probably get beasted on from SVGL players. Also there is people who play in sonoma county who would probably beat on tilts players.

You know what though. scrubkiller is right. The best players “in 707” area go to the Fairfield tilt. He was not saying svgl because that would be just stupid to compare the two. svgl > all. Anyway, all he was saying was that if you want the best comp i the 707 area than go to the tilt. Ok, now if you guys in Sonoma would be interested there is a tourney in Fairfield on Dec 3rd. I would be more than happy if you guys could attend. Our arcade may not be known for the best but the best do show up at tourney time such as ricky, leezy, the lew brothers, Tinh, The Chunksta, etc.
Our arcade isnt the best but I feel that since we have been having tourney’s that we have earned some level of respect.
