OK, Friday was cool. This next one should be better. Maybe we should stick to Fridays?
Of course, it’s evident that meeting once a week won’t result in the rapid bloom of skills that people want. If anyone is reeally serious about making conspicuously noticable strides, you’ll have to be playing a few times a week to really get the phat improvements.
I know thetre are a lot of things that I need to have second nature that I have to really think about in matches. I’d like to get those things to be nigh automatic. I could also work on staying focused and to do that, I need to play more so I can learn not to get razzed by those unexpected tactics or turn of events or when the match is nate-ready (yuck).
IOW, we need to play more so lets figure ou how that’s going to happen. I’m willing to open my house up for casual play nearly every evening. The only problem is joystickery. I only have one.
Well, I was thinking about picking up one of those Generic Hori Sticks for the 360, but that won’t solve our PS2 stick problem. If someone else is willing to pick up a Hori 360 stick, we could migrate our SF:AC matches over to the 360 and prolly get some intense VF5 Action too. Plus, the 360 stick will work on PCs… GGPO anyone?

Marvel 1 is at scandia till friday, he borrowed it from a friend and he is going to return it. but once he sells tekken 5, which could be in the next couple weeks, a marvel board will be ordered.

Yeah, I should probably start planning this crap earlier in the week. Friday’s don’t even work that well for me since I work every other Saturday. I might start alternating Wednesdays and Fridays. Saturdays would work well and I wouldn’t have to alternate that. What works well for everyone?
I would say thursdays and fridays. I can’t make this friday because of a trip to the snow, but otherwise I’m down.
Fridays/Weekends are 50/50 for me most of the time. My girlfriend lives in Santa Cruz, so I am either there or staying here in Marin (or Sonoma).
It’ll definitely help to plan them ahead of time just so people can see if they are available.

My friend and I have a few MAS sticks for the DC and the multi-pack game rom (SF3:3S, CvS2, MvC2, and a few extras). I doubt we could do it every week, but we might be able to stop by sometime. A few of us might even be willing to attempt and learn 3S.
When we got into the scene 3S was still kinda a cult game. It wasn’t until after the 5v5 Japan v USA @ evo2k2 that people really started to play 3S. We started with MvC2, and only myself moved to CvS2, but Sam and Chiao still attempt to play it now and then.
I’d really like to get a strong group of players up here in Sonoma. I love the games, just don’t have the energy to travel all over the south and east bay for competition anymore.
EDIT: on a side note, who is everyone here? I remember everyone from the tournament, but am unaware of your forum names. I usually see Tony, and his friend (who I think is Ibuki4life) at Scandia, and a few others but not as often.
Well, the plan is to set aside a COUPLE of days a week (because one isn’t enough for people who really want to get in the practice) to get this on. I’m still trying to figure out the best days.
I’m thinking one day with a short evening and then one with a good stretch. MOst likely Saturday.
Problem is, while a lot of us want to get serious, we still all have the urge to maintain some sort of life and thus find ourselves busy a lot. So the plan would be to either somehow incorporate these meetings into that “life” or to simply accept that we reallly don’t want to make that level of dedication, which isn’t a bad thing as i’ve been wanting to learn this shiznoz since 02 and haven’t made the dedications necessary.
Essentially, the plan is to at least get 2 days with 4 consist attendees so I can just expect it and kind of leave the door open. People could just call or text aforehand to make sure something is going down and then swing by.
Maybe Rivival will learn to leave his joysticks at my place.
Sounds like CVS2 is in order. I will play it for fun, but high level CVS2 is too goofy for me, so I don’t know how serious i’ll get. When you guys get into the RCing and whatnot is probably when i’ll start to fade.
TS seems to be either embraced or a potential embracement for everyone.
Should take a few weeks to get something consistent down, but we’ll get SOMETHING going for Sonoma county.

I wouldn’t mind getting in some games tonight, if anyone is down. I’m going to see what Rivival has going on and Shake is lazy and thus will probably be sitting on his computer whilest talking to foreign girls all day.
