That’s interesting. I usually just put it on arcade mode. You get a lot more games in, faster… But no character swap… Eh. Faster than that vs. mode jazz.
GGPO 3S ain’t arcade 3S. OS input lag, frame loss issues, gameplay speed issues. It’s as close as possible to Arcade since it’s using the arcade rom, but it’s not the same thing by a long way.
I got antsy, so I tried to find some “live” video of the patched netcode, pretty much everything I was finding was replays of the patch, which don’t show rollback… The sound of hits sometimes dropping in higher ping is reminiscent of GGPO in my experience, or even just offline emu play… “audio latency”…
Off topic, but for people the have played on cabs, have you even noticed a sound dropping? I’ve watched some… “rare DVDs” and on a rare occasion, a moves audio won’t play, but the music keeps going, though the sound of the other players move will be normal. Thing is, I’ve only ever noticed a similar thing from GSV like once…
Anyway… So happy for the patch’s release, and… Lance, if you aren’t sure about that subscription renewal, I have a week trial code with your name on it = )
I have a question that i can’t seem to get the answer anywhere. Recently I’ve been playing some ranked matches and after I beat the oponent we would jump back to the character selection screen as if we were in the arcade and I could only change my super, and the oponent select a new character. How do you get this done in a ranked game?? Now I can tell how some people get some hilarious ranking points.
Glitch? I imagine the game is still buggy regardless of whatever they did in this patch. I don’t recall if I said it before or not, but after matches, the game seems to take its time loading up the post-match menus.
Soo… If my rank is 0 when the update drops on xbox, it will stay at 0 and when I reach the points for my next reset in rank, it will drop back to rank 1? Someone please answer ^^’
I didn’t quite mean that, in SF3OE, after reaching rank 0, and when you have gotten enough points after that, your rank will reset to rank 1, and you will have to start ranking up again. I was wandering if after this patch has come out, will you still reset to rank 1 or will something different happen?
I wonder if they’ll increase that if people clamor for it more. Not that it means anything, but I did go into some random Player Lobby and found I was the only one with a rank above 25. Shouldn’t matter, of course, but people started leaving once I got in there. Don’t know why, either.
The old ranking system was a blessing because it minimized the people who’ll not play you because of too high a rank. The higher the numbers the more intimidating it seems to new players.
More or less. I’ve had guys with spectacular ping leave Ranked queue against me simply because I had a high number. Kinda stupid if you ask me, but oh well, not everyone shares the same ideas that I have.
