Well you can’t really be grateful for what they did without patting them on the back. For us it’s more interesting to see you guys come out and be able to rise up over the good guys through hard work than just being stagnant as the guys that prop them up.

I look forward to seeing who comes out of the new pot with some game. I personally don’t want to see the forums just filled with people who need all kinds of help with the game a year from now. Looking forward to seeing who really improves.

Oh no doubt. After a while i didn’t just get maul streaked by rockman. I started winning some here and there and it became an actual match most of the time. Even he was like “man you got a lot better.”. Although I couldn’t consistantly beat him, I was improving. Thats really the goal of course. Even if i surpass them and can wreak them with little effort, i’ll still give them props. Right now i’m trying to work on using dash resets and mk shananagans. It’s real hard though with the connection issues and the fact that my fight pad is broken.

there are much better players on ggpo that still play newer players and give them plenty of feedback and criticism. nica plays basically anyone and if you ask he’ll give you things to work on or think about. kofiend whenever hes on too. if you’re ec you need to be playing ec people or you’re just learning online specific stuff that will screw with your playing offline. daemon, tweleve, mutantxp, etc. they used to play on ggpo from time to time and they all play offline mostly.

even then it’s a different world, especially on emu it’s a massive difference going from pc ggpo to arcade cab.

you are wowed by dyne because you don’t know enough to understand what he’s doing and see how stupid and guessy it is. i bet people also at one point think louis is amazing because he can demolish them in 3 seconds because playing guess strike on pc ggpo works amazingly well. perspective is warped by emu ggpo. it makes 3s look like something else.

I’ve played nica before. He’s a yun main right? When I played him he was yun. I hate yun. I do remember him as being pretty cool though. He wasn’t a dick about being good. I mention dyne, but cause he helped me get set up. I mention rockman because he was practically always on and I must’ve played over 100 matches with him. I think i’ve done only 30 with Nica. There was another guy too who was an alex user who was cool too. Anyways, I always appreciate good players who aren’t jerks about it. SF4 seemed to have too many people who thought they were “pro” (naturally most of these were online warriors) so they only served to weaken the community.

Thanks dude. I actually use to play 3S all the time when Anniversary Collection 1st dropped, but since I didn’t have any solid comp back then I stopped. Now that 3SOE is out Im back on. I totally agree with that post you made earlier. People are too comfortable with not being the best, which is why I believe there are so many not so good players running around. Send me an add on PSN so we can get some good long sets in. Im all for improvement.

Here, have some videos of my newbie Oro. Had the game for a little more than a week now, and, having mained Rufus as a beginner in SF4 and Cody as an intermediate in SSF4 and AE, I thought I’d try maining someone with an entirely different playstyle.

I wish the endless seas of akumas would check it. Most akumas play a run away/keep away game thats really annoying because they’re pretty much giving me the match with no effort since they’re playing sf4 style.

Thanks man, I’m pretty free myself, but I’m leveling up. I hope they watch too. Most people who play that way are probably transitioning from SFIV, so this might help them out. If you ever get that commentary done, let me know.
