Hey, what’s this cheap thing with Chun li fubarduck uses that I’m hearing about? Something about s.LP, comboed into d.LP? No-risk wake-up games everytime? Some glitch that if the jab is parried, Chun can cancel into super on reaction for free. If the jab is blocked, then Chun is at the perfect distance to kara-throw?
I don’t feel like playing “telephone” with 10 different people and possibly whatever that thing is not even being remotely close to what I’ve been told anymore. Can somebody who knows for sure what I’m talking about explain it?
I do meaty far stand jab, low jab. If it hits, you can chain a super afterwards (verified).
If the meaty far stand jab is parried, you can still chain into low jab, and since low jab comes out in two frames, I believe only 3 or 4 frame moves are fast enough to beat it. Basically, if you think they’re going to go for something after the parry, you do low jab cancelled into super and it hits. They can throw you after the first parry ONLY if you distance yourself wrong by getting too close. Kara throw is not fast enough of course and will be beaten by the low jab.
If both hits are blocked, you can walk forward for a split second and be at perfect distance for a kara throw. You can also just go for low forward, which will probably beat whatever they try to do because the blocked low jab leaves you at +3.
Also, every character when they’re getting up from a knockdown has to stand up for exactly one frame–so, it works on every character, even small characters, and even if they’re holding down back the whole time. You just have to time the far stand jab to hit meaty during that one frame of standing wake up.
Basically, it adds a whole lot to her wake up games after a knockdown. Unless you’re afraid of a wake up DP or super, it’s very good to mix up with.
Finally, before anyone puts words into my mouth, I did NOT discover this. I learned about it from Mopreme, who has seen many Japanese Chun-Li’s do this. I don’t know who started doing it or whatever.
