…protesting a 3D game on a 2D based site!?
Hey ranma are you gonna get any posters or flyers made so we can spread the word here in houston and to any out of state tournament we go to from now until march? Any website being made or can we use the stargate homepage for signups and all the info ppl need?

I wasnt at the last one because i have been away from the fighting game scene for a while, but SCII brought my spirits back up and ive been playinig alot of TTT, and if i know that if TTT is gonna be at the showdown, im more than willing to dedicate alot of spare time to practicing. please dont kill my last hope lol. jk, its your tourney haha, its all good. but would be nice!

Any idea of whether the half-price SNK games will work? And any chance of hooking the supergun up to a projector? 
Heck, I know there’s some people out there who play for money, but maybe this crazy idea: I’d bring in my supergun and my neo games and they’d be free (someone else would need to bring a TV since my TVs suck (no S-video even)) for competition, just for those who want to compete casually. Maybe others can bring MVS games (or a AES setup and some games) that they’d be willing to have played by others. I bet it’s a no but I want to toss this idea out there anyway. Maybe this would draw in some who would want to game on the Neo, and then might decide while they’re there to try TS or CVS2 or whatnot.
And have it be on a projector! It’s a college, they gotta have a projector the supergun can be used with right?
By the way if I can sell this PDA I have for ~$85 I will use the money to buy a SVC: Chaos motherboard and I’ll have that there too. (on that note if anyone is interested in buying a hi-res Sony Palm-OS PDA please contact me :D)
Not sure if it’ll work, but its what we did last year. Our big tournaments will stay at $10 entry, smaller tournaments like KoF, and other SNK games will be $5.
Hey are we gonna have the games on free play or are we gonna have to use pot money to pay for the games like past u of h tournaments? Also what kinda machines are we gonna use are they in good condition for a tournament?
Still working out details with Texas Amusement. I’m going to have new sticks and buttons put in all tournament cabinets for Showdown.

We don’t know what the date will actually be. The way it’s turned out to be in the last four years is that it usually occurs during some school’s beginning of spring break, while another’s is about to end. We certainly can’t please everyone.
We try to aim for a weekend that would be attractive to both out-of-state people and those within Texas.

Alright guys, anybody with leads as to out of town competition possibly coming to Showdown, I’m gonna need to know what weekend looks best for em, we’re trying to narrow down which weekend we’re gonna schedule it. We have March 5-6, 12-13, and 19-20.
Alright, looking up various Spring Break schedules for most of the major colleges, I think I’m going to set the date for the weekend of March 12-13. So unless I hear some major heat for this, I’m gonna go ahead and start planning for this date.
:clown: chris, can we have a3 this year again? id like to organize it more get an early start ya kno so we have even a bigger tournout since the powers that be are pushing the scene(or whats left of it) to show it can put up results at national lvl tourneys. will it be possible ?
UNO has midsemester exams on the 14th, so it’ll be a pain, but we should be able to make it. No idea about LSU.
if you guys do pools like evo? will second place go straight to losers or restart it with no loses???
