Well I guess it’s official that I didn’t make it into the artbook, but at least I got a shout out on the Capcom Unity blog!

Job interviews are such bullshit, I hate them. That being said, I’m sure you’ll do well Lee, being the upstanding citizen you are.

EDIT: Ok that might’ve sounded harsh/sarcastic but I just feel that job interviews are too often about bs social conventions and telling the interviewer what they *want *to hear, rather than finding out who the more qualified applicant is. I remember interviewing for engineering internships/co-ops and sometimes getting lots of weird open-ended questions like “What wakes you up in the morning, and what keeps you up at night?” I know they’re trying to see if I can think on my feet and how creative/interesting I can make my answers, but I just wish it didn’t have to be that way. Some people like myself hate being put on the spot like that and have a hard time coming up with the right answer, if that’s a skill that you have though, then that’s GREAT and will help you, and I mean that.

and wow I use a lot of “/”, I should probably cut down on that.

What the hell kind of retarded question is that? What wakes you up in the morning? That has no correlation to the job, nor would the answer be useful, get outta here. I’ll go engineer something somewhere else.

We all know I’m a manager and am super critical of all new applicants. I regularly crush dreams. I look for people who are interested in working at MY store, rather than just having a job. I want people that are energetic, have patience, can solve problems on their own, and take initiative. People I don’t have to nag on to get them to do something. People that can communicate effectively. I have like twenty questions that are generated by the company that i’m supposed to use for the base of my interview. I use them as calibration questions to find out how you act, then throw them all out to ask three simple questions of my own creation.

What are some example questions during a Millnterview?

Check out the new GG location test guys!

LOL

Christ the soundtrack in this game.

GGs Adrian in VF. I see you got Hands Bitch on deck. That’s what we call Aoi, “Hands Bitch”. Because she can snatch and counter any and every move in the entire game. EVERY ONE. Fun set man lol.

Yea. I can tell he’s a really cool dude. That community is in good hands under him.

I hate how I have to be energetic and excited for something.

I’m only like that for like, video games.

About to pick up Guilty Gear for $15 on PS2 tomorrow. Can use my arcade stick on PS3 with it, why I never thought of doing this like a year ago, I will never know.

But fuck it, that’s gonna be my game. I’m gonna be ready once that shit drops on XBLA and everyone starts picking it back up.

Yo what system y’all play Kang on?

Depends regions to region. Memphis primarily uses PS3 while Nashville uses Xbox 360…Knoxville uses a mix 50/50.

I’d prefer to run Kang on 360 at ARK V because Arkansas has a shortage of PS3s and certain games pretty much HAVE to run on PS3 (SC5, MK9, BlazBlue). Y’all think that’s okay? Tennessee is the main Kang base, so I’m going with whatever you guys tell me.

May I ask why Blazblue and MK9 have to be played on PS3? MK9 has frame rate issues and slowdown on PS3 and I am just curious about Blazblue.

MK9 hotfixes won’t work unless you’re online on 360 (I assume because Microsoft charges more for frequent patches). Patches WILL work offline (to the best of my knowledge), but I don’t keep up with MK9 enough to know for sure that the most updated version is on both consoles in the form of a patch.
BlazBlue… Good question. I leave this one to the BlazBlue community heads as well. From what I understand, since a large percentage of BlazBlue’s demographic (like Tekken) plays on pad (primarily a PS pad), we keep it on those systems to accommodate those players.
In my experience and in our region, the players of those games prefer that system. I think BB is supposed to run equally well on either system though.

Kang on 360 should work. Mike, Majin and Marcus all have converters for their PS3 pads. Everyone else has dual modded sticks IIRC

Thanks. I just want to make sure it was cool with you guys first. We want to have dedicated setups for every tournament game. No switching out games. I think we’ll have about 40 consoles there if everything goes as planned.

Cool. That is all I wanting to know.

So what’s our VF breakdown now?
