So after having my XBL account hacked and my MS points used then Microsoft freezing my account yesterday. I awaken today to an email telling me that they finished the investigation on my account and are refunding me all of my ms points and giving me a few more for my trouble. Today has been a good day.
This should probably be added to the first page by the op…two fight nights on Tuesday (Nashville/Knoxville) now and one in Memphis on Wednesdays…
I don’t think it’s chosenst specifically that feels the way he does. I think it’s just one example of a larger problem within the fgc, which is ungrateful stream monsters that never contribute and want volunteers to entertain them and have perfect streams every time, when the reality is most of the time people stream for free or at a loss. It just seems incredibly selfish and ungrateful. There’s no corporate sponsorship here, so to call MWC a rinky-dink tournament regardless of how many people showed up is pretty insulting. I mean I didn’t even run the tournament and I don’t go to Nashville that often but it’s a COMMUNITY thing. People halfway across the country or world, who may appreciate a stream and big names with lots of acronyms, aren’t really owed anything.
I mean yes, it’s something to work on. In general, the marketing was bad, but there was a lot o drama with the stream situation, the venue, SRK admins not paying attention, etc that contributed.
I still don’t get the whole mentality of only wanting to play against the top players and not wanting to play locals. I mean if you just enjoy the hype and competition and want to spectate that’s fine, it’s what I did last year at Final Round. But that attitude just makes the top players even more Hollywood as Jason calls it, most of them won’t even play you unless you pay now.
And you wonder why Spooky is quitting. I don’t blame him at all.
tl;dr I just didn’t like the attitude and not you specifically, we still have fight nights if you want to play Marvel

Many a person has spilled bong water on their carpet and gotten mad about it and posted some full retard e-sports opinion on the internet and pissed off a bunch of people they never meant to offend. But far too few people have come out to play Marvel at fight nights and tournaments and had a great fucking time!
This is what I’ll do…
-Go to where the Top Players are doing this.
-Troll them with my presence.
-Make Chewbacca sounds when they get hit by Tostada.
-Call them a Wannabe scrub.
-Then tell them to come to Nashville/Memphis Tennessee if they wanna get pwned by everyone(except I dont show up when they do).

I see a good Cammy and Bison there as well…one of those guys (Cannon Spook) is on my XBL friends’ list but it’s not going to matter because it really is Hakan or nothing so I’ll be out of the tournament by 9am, lol…
And honestly the only reason I am not going to use Honda is that I don’t have time to prepare properly for the tournament in the next two weeks so in order to alleviate THAT stress out of my life I’m just going to sit back and have fun with Hakan, it was such a last minute thing going to this anyway but hopefully I can oil up against Momochi…

In the meantime, there are still people “upset” about what “went down” at MWC. We had a stream for Friday, and the second stream on Saturday was the one with lag, but I think this comment I just received from one of the guys in Huntsville shows that if people are “upset” more so about a lack of stream and recognition for their own game than actually caring about how the tournament was run I definitely think the FGC is heavily confused about events and what to expect. Basically this would have been from the 3rd stream person who did RCR but more than one person had told me it was not a good idea for this person to stream:

I think its funny people have complained that attendance to your event was low but then “a lot” of people are upset at how the event was handled. I would think its one or the other. But whatever you cant please everyone. I mean I love FGs but the “community” whines more than a bunch of spoiled little rich girls getting their first rag. Its pathetic.

There seems to be a lot of infighting in the community there as everyone seems to have something to say about other people, attitudes, etc, and the general view on the Huntsville players is getting worse to outsiders which is a shame because we’re opening an arcade there and we want people to COME to Huntsville to play in tournaments and play with the guys over there but the overall view of them now by other players in other areas is upsetting…
I just hope they get things straightened out over there soon, as they have a very good core group of players in a bunch of games and it would be a shame if everyone gets the wrong idea about one scene because of it.
Please don’t instigate or exaggerate things. It almost comes off like you’re looking for a fight. 
Nobody really likes being talked down to like that off of hearsay and such.
