Television General Discussion

There were also some questionable things in the first episode of The Strain, but there always is for every show, so imma let them slide on the plane landing, and how it was so called to touch on the outside, even on the engines, along with a few other things. I doubt i will care as the season progresses.

Yeah, I caught up on the 2 episodes of The Strain last night and I’m sold-- when vampires are involved and it’s something other than a certain toxic movie franchise that nearly RUINED the very concept of vampires for all other mediums of entertainment, generally I’m on board from day 1.

We already see that the Main Man™ vamp obviously has amazing superhuman speed/agility and strength, and possible flight(?)… I am interested to see if there are different “levels” or some ranks to their species as well… oh hell yeah I finally have something new to watch and care about this summer.

I’m enjoying the show too now, but reasons to take the CDC off the case was a major wtf, but I will let it slide since the rich old man seems to have used some political pressure to make that happen.

Why was the old man so scared, I thought he knew what he was getting himself into?

Anybody watching MasterChef? finally Elise has gone, walking bag of tears. I don’t know how the hell Cutter is still in this, he is so mediocre, it should have been a double elimination.

Cortney is fine as hell, but has that Mean Girls aura about her, so fake.

Anyone watching Power, that “50 cent show”. I’m watching it. I think its great, but now its getting too into the territory where these dudes are fucking up their shit, and putting everything at risk over pussy. You dont make it this far in the drug game after like 10+ years of hustlin and staying low key, just to fall to random pussy. I’m going to ride out the season, because its still really good, but i hate when shit starts getting into this stage of the show, where everyone all of a sudden becomes a 15 year old again when it comes to decision making.

Now, to somewhat watch a bunch of other shows since I have time, lol.

The Strain
The show is quite interesting so far.
Old guys convo stuffs was SRS BSNS.

If for some reason the works of Brian Keene get adapted for TV, or whatever…
…I’d be okay with del Toro being a part of the project.

Defiance
Modern ‘Castithan’ Family could be it’s own show, due to the antics of the extended family circumstances.

Spartacus: Blood and Sand airing on Syfy is pretty cool, though.

Not really been watching much of MasterChef or ANW this season.
The former, is just “whatever” status to me now.
The latter, outside of some city qualifier highlights, I’m kinda just waiting till the Vegas finals start-up.

I was only speculating before the 2nd episode aired at the time. The German was calm and rational even though he was one of those creatures, the “survivors” share a similar trait while the “dead” seem to act feral/animal-like in nature by only needing to feed.

It is possible the feral types could gain some semblance of intelligence as time goes on (finding their way back home or to their loved ones proves that), or they’ll just get worse as they’re sole function might just be to feed and spread like some vampire/zombie hybrid.

Duplicate Post

I loved that last episode of True Blood.

Spoiler

Eric ripping that Yakuza’s jaw out his mouth was so badass!

Should be watching more ANW. During St. Louis Finals I audibly said a bunch of times that the Rumbling Dice is complete bullshit. Then right on cue, Joe Moravsky breaks the obstacle…and completes it anyway.

Holy shit this episode of American Greed– it’s about US Fidelis, run by Darain and Cory Atkinson…apparently a car warranty scam. One of the guys had a cashflow that was so ridiculous from this scam— dude had a 26 million dollar home, complete with a bowling alley and movie theater inside… leather floors(!), marble up to the ceiling… even the spiral staircase in the house…that by itself was about a million dollars. Both also had numerous Lamborghinis and Ferraris, and all kinds of other things.

The Strain

Apparently you lose more than just hair and teeth when you turn. ಠoಠ

THE STRAIN!

awwww man…yeah, now I’m not so sure I’d want vampirism if that’s part of the deal. I could tell they were going there when he was shown being in pain and then going over to take a piss… odd thing is he didn’t seem to mind anymore at that point… plop—now there’s NOTHING down there…and dude was like “oh well”.

*The Main Man vampire— from the recap, I was reminded how tall this creature is… dude looked like he was was standing about 8 feet tall (either that or he was hovering?)!

Witches of East End

Mystical Plant-Man tentacle sex and twincest is in now. I thought this show was gonna be Charmed on cable, but it’s got something extra. Not exactly a Breaking Bad or GoT contender, but it’s an interesting/fun watch altogether.

It also helps that Channing Tatum’s wife is great to look at…

am I the only fan of Vikings on the history channel? I cant get enough of it.

GHOST SHARK! It’s on SyFy right now, hell yeah, man. Whoah and there is a blonde girl with a seriously cute ass in this…

As one may guess from the title, this is about a “ghost shark” that goes on a rampage. Being a ghost… it is not limited to the water, obviously. Richard “Bull from Night Court” Moll is in this too… oh and Mackenzie Rosman’s cute little ass in it it too. Yeah…whoever came up with this movie… thank you.

Watching Teen Wolf. Wanted to hate it. It’s ok, though…but these kids are fucking morons. They wander around their school’s halls talking about whatever problem related to their no-longer-being-human they’re having at the moment, like having hunters trying to kill them, needing to kill some other werewolf before he kills them first, or having a dream about killing someone whose corpse was found that morning right in front of every-fucking-one else, with no effort to use code or even lower their voices.

Hell yessssss… a hierarchy on THE STRAIN.

yep

its buffy lite. lots of fluff…i dont actually hate the show.

It happens in both shows, one character speaks a little too loudly and another has to tell them to lower their voice before someone else hears the creepy talk.

Teen Wolf doesn’t have the best writing or acting, but it’s damn sure far from bad. The only thing the show does wrong is rely on love interests a little more than I’d like, but it’s the kind of concession made for a young female demographic for bigger ratings. Can’t be too upset about that, Buffy did it for WB and other good shows do it for CW.
