TEKKEN 6 Bloodline Rebellion Thread - PS3/XBOX 360 Oct. 27, PSP Nov. 3

Good, Sf4 is absolute garbage. Can’t wait for Tekken.

Christie videos.

SFIV kept me entertained for a month, but all of a sudden I got very bored. I’ve pumped huge amounts of hours into previous Tekkens, without even having online multi, so I’ll definitely be playing it for a long time.

“Kazuya suffered a defeat at the hands of Heihachi and was later defeated again by Jin at Honmaru”.

If Kazuya had won he’d have owned the Zaibatsu.

SFIV is like M.U.G.E.N.: The boner has worn off, so it’s better to just watch it.

Well, I’m not going to Evo or Comic-Con so I just gotta wait til 10/27 to get my re-learn on. I absolutely hate it when these Japanese companies change the controls or notations in their sequels.

i.e. (Tekken)

-AK’s old b2 (bounding chop) is not that notation anymore.
-I still don’t like Bruce’s staple f121 being b121 from DR on up
-Raven’s df1+2 unblockable and df3+4 (changed in 6) and old qcf3+4 breakdance (changed in DR).
-Wang is almost completely different in BR, but I guess that’s to cure boredom
-GETTING RID OF THE CLONIMITSU SIDETHROW

i.e. (Soul Calibur)

-IVY, Talim, Mitsurugi oh gawd why

i.e. (Final Fantasy)

-Why Square thought that “confirm” should be X and “cancel” should be O after FFVII - unchangeable from FFX on up - is beyond stupidity

etc.

EDIT: Bwahahaha here’s me again

I don’t know where you go that, but it had to be such, because that was the only way Hei would of lead Kaz to the compound, but oh well.

Just had to quote for emphasis. I used to play Ivy. Dropped her in SC4 NOT because Setsuka was far more awesome than in SC3, but because they completely fucked over her stance switches.

Anyway, back OT…

The booklet.

Heihachi takes him to the dojo in his ending too. So the true T4 ending must be a combination of all 3 Mishima endings. You said it yourself, you have to chop up and screw with the endings to get the real plot.

I assume Namco had him win so that he could still be the owner when he “dies”.

Bah, I misread, oh well. Good game sir.

GTFO. You have an Ara-crap-e av.

Lol you crip-walked on dude. That’s what makes the bears so lovable.

That shit had me crackin’ up…

The AV is not crap, the fact that you can win an entire match on bees alone is crap, which is what my av states.

But seriously, TTT is what started it for me as far as competitive fighting is concerned, and Tekken has been the only fighting series that I’ve been somewhat good at. Never could get into anything else.

Tekken just clicks.

I’ve been mad decent at plenty of fighters. I can kind of pick and choose which ones I would want to put effort in to play competitively if I decided too. I’m lazy though and so I don’t bother, except for Tek now. And even that I should be putting more time into. GG was my first competitive fg. Oddly enough, that’s what Memphis is full of as far as the serious competitive traveling scene, GG players. GG is one of the few fgs I respect, but I veered off from that when I went to S.L.U.T.S. in St. Louis. DR tourney was so crunk and my boy Lil Majin played CDDT the Kuma user. He finished the match with King’s ground grab, the little arm break move. But on Kuma’s short arms it looked funny, and I didnt really know much about Tek or the moves except for casually. So I yelled out, “Ooooh! He broke that mane ass!!!” And that’s why you’ll see that phrase in a few sigs on TZ. But yea, since that day I started really learning Tek and playing competitively when I could, or trying to hit as many tourneys and gatherings as I can. I came late into DR so there hasn’t been much action. But BR will be a different story.

I was playing SFIV competitively. Like really. But I just woke up one day out of the blue and said no more. I guess Tekken just kinda “clicks” a bit, as you said, but to me Tekken just screams quality. Furthermore, it takes skill. To be good at the game you really have to “study” it, as opposed to a few other fgs where you can play off simple reaction or by learning a few matchups. Plus, Tek is just so damn hype. I feed off the hype. A few dudes try to get hype with SFIV but they really know that shit is plain boring.

:wonder:

Tekken is the manliest fighter. None of the supers in a 2d game compare to a wall combo. CH raged deathfist feels so good.

SLUTS II in 2010!

URBAN REIGN 2…here we come!

Wall combos suck. The only thing manly about Tekken is Paul’s “Kid & Play” and even he’s a bitch.

No it doesn’t!!

/victim

The only manly thing ever in Tekken was in T2 when Kuma would hit someone with ff1+2 and a neon three claw swipe mark would appear at the point of impact.

Also, go back and listen to the sound effects when King pops joints in whatever chain throw you want. T2 had brutal noises.

Also the echoing on Devil’s stage.

you know what fuck T6 i’m going back to T2

The bone sounds were moist. And, so were King’s growls.

And, ehere’s my Octopus Stretch, dagnabit?
Manji FTW.
