No 8 frame jabs was a pretty big change
You’ll never know until 7 rolls around. It’s always been that way. :smokin:
I meant 5.
Aight, thats good to hear. Yeah I didn’t exactly expect a smooth and easy transition but as long as it helps. Thanks for the help.
Asuka’s d+3+4, I know in Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection it crushes lows in it’s opening frame, came out in 14 frames, and launched on counter-hit. It’s only weakness was being side-steppable, because it jails on the low hitting on normal hit and is SAFE on high-block. Meanwhile, bruce can’t side-step out of his crouch dash…
If he doesn’t have an option that can beat 14 frames, then this would be a guaranteed launch every time bruce went for it, and depending on the speed of HS1 may be a shutdown for the crouch dash at all times. I know it’ll beat both HS2 and HS3 with EASE, but I’m not sure about HS1.
Well, firstly, with Bruce, you really ain’t supposed to do QCF+3 unless you get a natural combo from ws 2,1. That’s the first thing, secondly, I believe you can play mind games and try to get in a tiger knee, I do it all the time, and it usually works.
Winner of 5 gains control of the Zaibatsu. Jin won. That’s it. All the other semi-related-to-Mishimas stories are just superfluous. The independent ones have Steve finding out more about his relation to Nina, etc.
Not exactly true. Raven did fight Hei. Ling and Jin talked, but that was it. Uh, Hwoarang and Jin fought. DJ and Hwo fought. Let’s see, Bruce and Kaz talked not fought, and Lei did find Wang and talked with him about Jinpachi. Julia and Ganryu met up, Paul didn’t fight with Kaz like he wanted, Anna and Nina duked it out. Steve and Lei met up and talked.
Steve Law and Paul met up and talked, King and Marduk fought at 4 and became friends.
Jack 5 just got beat down by Hei, I also believe Lee fought with both Kaz and Hei, I have to double check.
Jin never fought either Kaz nor Hei, besides the ending of T4 when he beat down both of them.
Technically Kaz won T4, Jin won T3, but Hei shot him etc. Some people’s story were just bs, like Ling’s I don’t believe her ending was exactly true.
However, I am a bit frosty on Feng Wei and Asuka fighting. I don’t think they did, fight, I do believe they ran into each other, I’m UBER confused on that, and Feng Wei is my main x.x I think I should know more about him than everyone else.
Dilly, i guess man. Should be a braindead punish if you’re neutral or at plus frames. You working hard on countering the upcoming Bruce bandwagons huh lol? Well, as I said before, I don’t think peeps gonna be using that outside of juggles or guaranteed shit.
Zeon, which Tiger Knee? The CD 2-hit, or the “get the fuck off me” u/f+3? Because that move is one of his fastest and often a go-to when in doubt. The other is simply flash(great when it connects) but will get you punished severely.
Don’t worry about Feng. That’s my “main” too, but he’s only in the game to be a dick. Asuka didn’t fight him in 5.0/DR because she never found him. Neither did Lei. But Feng was low key because he only gave a fuck about the scrolls, which he did get but were blank or uncomprehensible or some shit. He’s only entering 6 to get more info. So basically, with all the shit like world war going on, nobody gives a fuck about some asian criminal asshole. He’s off the radar.
No, he couldn’t understand what the scroll meant, theres a second part to the dragon scroll.
But both Tiger Knees, the get the fuck off me beats it if you know it’s coming, but usually I throw out the other TK if I sense their gonna try to block my CD 3. No one really punishes me per se when I do it, I usually CD3 the hell out of them then they start blocking aaaaaaaaaaaand TIGER.
Trust me, there won’t be THAT many Bruces online. You’ll see an ass load of Lars, Law, Alissa, and some Lili. Trust me.
Online? Lol, I play local/competitively homie. Online I would expect to see any character that has a move or string that exploits lag. But Bruce is pretty beefed. You can already tell by his usage in Japan via a slew of match vids that he’s gonna get mad play here too. Once people relearn him and get comfortable with the staple crouch dashing in combos now, knowing which moves go into MTS and which moves come from that, his new strings and wallgame, he’ll be a fave. I pretty much was playing him DR style lol. But I’m going back end of this month. I know what to do now.
No local comp out here man. Only like two people I know play Tekken, so it’s the same old fight all over again.
I look for ways to beat anything I expect to see commonly. From what I’ve been told, bruces CD is used pretty frequently(as I stated, there is no T6 in my state), so as such I’m just looking for the angles, especially because from what I’ve been told by a few key players bruce’s CD+2 is VERY commonly thrown out due to how well it crushes.
My main is still probably going to remain king(it really doesn’t get any more mainly than ISW unless you’re slapping people with kaz’s CH d/f+2~ewgf), but I always keep asuka in my back pocket because I play her so much differently than everyone else I’ve seen. I play her as a “if you go high or low, you’re dead” crush artist, rarely using her counters(except her 2+3 punch parry, that move is GOLDEN vs Steve), and relying on crushes and small pokes to keep frame advantage til I can bait the big shot, or her severely under-rated keep out to avoid pressure…
She’s the only character who can beat out the entire mishima WD mix-up using 2 moves, and the riskiest option is only -10, at least if you time everything out right. Then again, in T6 the wave-dash isn’t nearly as important as it was in previous tekkens.
Heihachi won the heihachi vs. kazuya tournament final fight.
Dilly you should go to WI to play BR during one of their lock in nights. 10 bucks for freeplay for hours.
No he did not. Kaz vs Hei, he one, because if Hei won, it contradicts Jin’s story ending, which was confirmed by the opening of Tekken 5.
Kaz beat Hei, which is why Hei brought them into the compound. You have to chop and screw some of the endings and such to get the actual plot.
In Kaz’s story, Hei said he would take Kaz to his son if he won the fight. So Kaz beat Hei, then brought him to Jin as promised.
so it kinda went like this…
Kaz vs Hei: Kaz wins
Kaz vs Jin: Jin wins
Jin vs Hei: Jin wins
Jin flees, the Jack-4’s jump in, Raven watches everything, then runs off.
Let me confirm a few other things…Paul techincally won T3, but he didn’t fight True Ogre(confirmed in his T4 opening), which let’s us know, Story wise Paul is one of the strongest fighters. Hwoarang and Jin fought to stalemate in T3.
Kaz was still being revived during that tourney. Eddy is looking for Kaz to kill him, uh, theres some other shit, but I’m too tired to go through the whole mythos of Tekken.
So…gameplay wise: What are Kaz’s strengths, now that he’s been nerfed?
Punishment, that man is still one of the most dangerous punishers in the game, especially now that he finally has a ranged mid for punishment as well. Kaz is a man that you really can’t afford to make a mistake against, seeing as how he can still launch you for things most opponents merely get a shoulder for if he can consistently pull off a 13f ewgf.
Dammit reading this thread is making me want to pick up Tekken, though I’ve always been trash at it aside from just screwing around with friends.
Too many fighting games this year, at least I don’t mess around with SFIV anymore.
Tekken is the only one that matters. Join the revolution…
Join the darkside…
