TEKKEN 6 Bloodline Rebellion Thread - PS3/XBOX 360 Oct. 27, PSP Nov. 3

I was a pad player too for a long time, but since I got my 360 I have to use a stick because I find the face buttons on the controller to be not very responsive. Even though I haven’t played Tekken much with a stick, I actually find it much more difficult to use a pad now. Its hard to dash back and be able to hold a block immediately after and I have a hard time doing moves such as Kazuya’s Thunder Godfist. Also for some strange reason my fingers are actually more tired after using a pad than a stick. I might get the hori stick with tekken 6 as long as it isn’t another hori ex2. Even though its expensive, I’m actually thinking about getting an AIAB slim arcade custom that’s dual system compatible so that way it is easier to play at tournaments and friend’s houses.

How am I an idiot when you’re making uncivilized immature remarks. Sidestepping is one feature only and a change in combo goes back to my list about increasing movesets. A list of changes from the series would be small and insignificant to my point.

to the above, how are you playing Tekken on a 360?

Im so hyped for this game. SO HYPED!!!

A decent arcade stick, premium DLC(ala SC4), and some sort of artwork. Via comic/art book. I would assume.

Not playing Tekken on a 360… Yet… I’m too poor to afford a PS3, but I do have a few friends that have one so that’s the desire for an AIAB custom other than tounrament play. I just mean playing on pad in general tires my fingers out since I switch to stick for Soul Calibur, Street Fighter II HD Remix, SFIV, and Bushido Blade 2. I also want to buy one of the Madcatz Fightpads but not for fighters… I have a ton of xbla games like Bionic Commando: Rearmed that need a better d-pad.

So how have I been playing Tekken lately if I don’t have DRO and a PS3? 5.0 on console and arcade. Yes, you heard me right… My home town does not have any 5.1, DR, or BR machines… It’s very sad…

i thought duyson wasnt going? if this goes down… <<GS>>. :nunchuck:

scratches head

Actually, if you were really playing Tekken… truly, really, playing. Like… you were aware that 10-hit combos are a joke, you would see (heck, feel!) the differences between 3, 4, 5, and 6. The gap between DR and BR is so significant that it’s sort of useless to play DR, unless it’s for preparation. But if you want to be good at BR, you HAVE to play BR because of the difference gap.

But if you’re only playing for the story, then the console version has a 2-player Tekken Force/Scenario mode for your kind. :china:

I’ve always considered 10 hit combos as a taunt more than anything. I always tease my brother or whenever I’m playing a competent player if I get more than four hits with it. Even worse if I get the whole thing…

dont listen to mystic, helpme’s main is still lee.

Threads for 3D fighting games on SRK make me cry

agreed

There’s no reason. Those are only single threads in common sections which are dedicated to these. As long as 3D don’t have their section in Strategy Zone category, you should be ok with that, I think.

tekken hasn’t been 3D since tekken 2

I LOVE 10hit combos! it triggers a slight sense of nostalgia in knowledgable players, it’s also a great tool for begginers to get to know the many rythms the game has to offer. looking down on any movement of a game so well defined only highlights ignorance

You couldnt atleast quote me brnsn? :lame: Lets MM brnsn!

I can sorta see where you’re coming from…

Each Tekken sequel has become less and less revolutionary as time has gone on…

T2 -> T3 was amazing. (side stepping, improved mobility)
T3 -> TTT was wild (tagging + double the roster)
TTT -> T4 was huge (walls, terrain, side walking, position switching replaces left throw)

Major risks were involved with each of these sequels.

However, the jumps to T5 and T6 just don’t seem as revolutionary or risky as the jumps of yesteryear.

But, even so, it’ll be fun playing King and Armor King in Tekken force mode co-op with a friend…giant swinging people into each other. Looking forward to that.

T6: bound & rage

also continued refinement to the engine’s system of lateral movement has been occurring this whole time.

Unfortunately, to non-hardcore people like Scaves, Tekken never evolved from 10-hits and half-life deathfists.

I will be buying that if it comes with a HRAP EX, however I have no desire in keeping the game, so expect it to show up on the trading board.

Tekken is the shyt !!!
