TEKKEN 6 Bloodline Rebellion Thread - PS3/XBOX 360 Oct. 27, PSP Nov. 3

^That it is, Its the only game I could ever really take seriously. Fuck you brnsn, Lets Money match at SVGL.

In quick response. I dunno where people got this idea HelpMe doesn’t main Lee. That’s his main and who he is best with, he just thinks Lee is boring so he plays other characters. Simple as that. That’s what he said to me to my face.

Anyway, Saotome do yourself a favor and raise the stakes on that MM with Bronson to $200 that dude is a scrub. For real. Old Man Tran doesn’t have it anymore, go take that free money.

I overheard someone say it at Strongstyle.

Rage is hardly revolutionary. Similar concept was already in TTT.

Bound just allows extended juggles, adding a greater emphasis on them…but juggles already were heavily emphasized in T5, so…meh.

I’ll be getting T6 regardless, but still waiting for a revolution. Maybe T7 will rock the foundation like T3 did…

fixed for accuracy

why yes i agree.

on another note is the bundle package just a stick or… more swag. MarkMan is in the know…grrr damn your poker face!

i heard a rumor of a japanese early release soon. no confirmation on that. just word through the grapevine. has that been talked about?

I too have heard of it, If its true. I know what im buying this summer.
FYI, Bound was in DR. One of jinpachis moves had a similar effect. :3

also if you hacked your psp ver. there was bound moves in that or something. i read about it in a thread by JayTech

Well that really was just jinpachis move. His f2,1,1+2 had this bound effect that you could follow up. Im assuming they got their inspiration from this. Though I could be wrong, So any new on that japanese release?

Amen. Hopefully in T6 we won’t lag like we do in T5: DR. My asuka will be waiting, but hopefully my king will actually be useable online this time.

Bound, rather than adding emphasis or extending juggles, makes you think about your combo. The boring part about juggles in T5/T5: DR is that most players had 2 staples for every launcher(1 for walls, 1 for no wall) and maybe 1 or 2 flash ones if they know they’ll win anyway.

In 6, there’s so many different ways to work out your combo. Do you want to bind early and go for that big post-bound juggle wall-splat, or do you want to save that bound and hope you can get the wall-splat without it so you can use that b! wall combo. One wrong thought when it comes to your combo decision can cost you big damage.

While there are massive combos in tekken, they aren’t really any more damaging percentage wise than t5: DR. A vast majority of the cast can NOT break 50% without walls, which is an improvement when you think about it. The long combos do 2 things to the game.

1.) make it funner to watch(which is the only reason it hasn’t hit televised tourneys in the US, T5/DR wasn’t flashy enough for american tv).

2.) a bigger chance of screwing up that combo, and more variety in the fights. The more hits required to perform that combo, the more chances of a screw up. The more combos that actually have their purpose in a fight, the more use they’ll see, and the more variety we’ll see during the fights which is always a good thing.

I’ll be on dat PSN playing this shit once it comes out, Im probably gonna stick to miguel and move a bit with drag. Dunno still

This probably going to catch me some flak, but whats the deal with that new robot chick? Is she as awesome as she looks?

I think it’s going to be a simultaneous worldwide release, at least for U.S. and JPN. If JPN does get an early release, it’ll probably only be a few days-week difference probably.

B! was in PSP DR via hacks. There’s a few vids floating around online.

Experimenting with B! combos in 6/BR is fun, but sometimes getting too flashy you can sacrifice big damage. There are different variations with similar damage, I used quite a few. But when match got crucial I used tried and trusted BR staples. Also, knowing when to followup and when to wall carry is important, since wall is still GDLK even if it has been toned down.

The combos are the easiest part of Tek anyway…

jack
p jack
jack 2 (terminator)
bryan (universal soldier/terminator salvation)
murdock (jk)
robot chick (anime)

I can’t stand her, but yes she is pretty good. Everyone is really. But her and Lars will be especially trying if you’ve never fought them before. Bob has been toned but still kicks ass. Miguel and Leo have been nerfed so they aren’t quite as effective as they were in 6.0. I can’t speak on Zaf.

Whys that? Any specific reason?

I hate her design. Cool if you like that sort of stuff but I don’t. Gameplay reasons, I can’t state exactly because I don’t really remember. I know I was lost as fuck when I fought her the very first time I played BR. That was like last year. Or beginning of this year. I’ve only been back two times since and no one played her then. It was all about Luurrz.

getting kinda hyped myself

Can’t bite my tounge any more. What’s up with japan and Korea. Everytime I see Marduk he isn’t rocking any pants. Some beefy thigh meme/fetish going on!!!

Thanks for the bound verify mike

If you can space, she’s ok, but a lot of her moves have very slow start-up. In a way, she’s like a very long-range Yoshimitsu. She has a better risk/reward ratio than Yoshi though. Up close, she’s destroyed by players like Steve, Law, Bob, Lee, Paul, Hwoarang, Bryan, Julia, Lili (basically anyone with a tight in-your-face game is a bad matchup for Alisa).

Lars is Bryan + stances - sweep. Orbital kick, mid-hitting “lifters”, and a very-high-risk, but great priority (c-c-c-combo breaker!), flash-kick type move.
