I was talking to this guy at Gamestop when we were waiting for Resident Evil 5. I told him that Namco should have put Tekken 5 on the Live Arcade since Tekken 6 is coming out in the fall. I mean it makes alot of sense. It gets all of the people on xbox that hasnt played any Tekkens or havent played Tekken in a while and allows them to play it before Tekken 6 comes out. Plus Namco and Microsoft make extra $$$ . It would probably be a 1600 point game…so $20. I know I would buy it. Plus it gives Namco some experience working with Xbox live. It would be a win win situation for everyone. I am kind of suprised they havent done this yet. I thought the same thing with Resident Evil 4 to Xbox Live should have been done. These companies will bank from Xbox Live.
T6 (not BR) he’s hovering around top tier. Great wall carry and good damage off lots of things, good pokes, etc. etc. b+21 is a great new move for him.
BR, he gets a few nerfs (hopkick only stuns on normal hit, b+21 has less range and isn’t NC when delayed, etc.) but got some decent new moves too, so I dunno. Seems like he’s still pretty good.
Dude, don’t knock it. You have to see it in person, it’s amazing.
whilst playing (even watching sometimes) it’s barely noticable. Certainly doesn’t make previously “unseeable” attacks seeable.
I heard about this game almost forever lol but they took so long to make it. I’m so glad its finally going to release after 6 or 7 years of waiting lol.
Whoa take it easy there runner, no need to get hostile.
Personally, I’m hoping to get a PS3 sometime. I hate Microsoft as much as the next guy, but Bill isn’t there anymore and the PS3 is very expensive atm.
At the moment I’m stuck on 360 'til further notice.
PS. Anyone else pissed that they didn’t just drop Tekken 6 when they had the chance? The retarded wait on this has got me losing interest in the Tekken franchise.
i feel slightly robbed not even getting the chance to play the original T6. for fuck sake they could of made BR DLC. shit they would of made way more money that way too!
6-7 years of waiting? More like 2 years but either way I’m glad Namco is going to release it this year.
The game was actually announced about 4 years ago with a teaser trailer. It was the one that showcased Jin…
they will be announcing tekken 7 before the release of BR ha
Some of us when they first announced BR on 360 said this was going to happen, so I’ll take the time out for all of us that were right and say I told you so.
The problem with that is DR was a good bit under a Gig IIRC. BR is going to push the limits of current DVD disk capacity. There’s no way you can have the whole game as a downloadable game. Remember there are also 360 users that DON’T HAVE HARDDRIVES(Hi X360 Arcade buyers). Because of their business model, X360 games have to be able to stand alone. You can thank MS pandering to good ol’ Johnny Nocash so they could push more units. If every unit had an HDD then there would be better installation support and they’d be able to push more stuff as DLC instead.
My only fear is that Bandai, knowing that the 360 shall be inferior to the arcade and what the PS3 can do, will deliberately make the PS3 version less than what it could be in order to appease Microsoft and/or get more $$$ from Microsoft in order to do so.
Anyone who thinks MS wouldn’t go there is fooling himself.
OH GOD WHY… YOU VOODOO JINXING BASTARD:rofl:.
yea, now that you mention it. i could see MS paying more to namco do something fucked like that!
:rolleyes:fooling himself
I don’t think MS cares THAT much about fighting games.
No, what they care about is quashing the competition by whatever means necessary - no matter how unethical or questionably legal those means may be.
This is the same fear that people have over Final Fantasy XIII.
MS paid Sega to port Virtua Fighter 5 to the 360 and then paid Sega additional money to give the game an online component. This was after Sega told fans previously that VF4, 4EVO, and VF5 were too difficult to have an online component for. Guess M$ changed their minds very quickly.
But to be fair the arcade version of Tekken 6 is running on a PS3 based arcade board. Why NAMCO would tone down the PS3 version artificially would be beyond me. The PS3 version will be a perfect port because NAMCO designed the game on arcades to have an easy transition to the PS3. The difficulties are arising now that they have to cram the game onto a DVD with slow read speeds. Here’s hoping they make the best of both platforms.
^^That’s an odd move seeing as how VF has a small, but dedicated following. Who knows maybe MS really is that desperate.
jabHadouken: You’re sounding very much like a Playstation fanboy.(Maybe you’re not) Making the PS3 version inferior is a bit of a stretch, almost conspirital in a sense. (If anything the PS3 version will be more arcade faithful)
Now on the other hand, Sony won’t be able to stay very long if they play it clean. I want a PS3 myself, but Sony’s plans for the system still baffle me. (Why on earth would you ever let Final Fantasy go is by me)
Regardless of which, I think that Namco is going to scam everyone anyway. Just you wait and see how they make half of the content on disc appear as DLC.
This.
As far as Tekken 6BR goes, PS3 owners have less to worry about M$ than they do Namco, who have proven to be masters of the DLC Rape so far this gen.
What its only been 2 years??? lol I thought it was much longer than that lol but I can’t wait till it comes out this year finally!!!
