So how early does a japanese release usually come out? I’ll import BR if I have to, As well as buying the american version.

It’s old news, Anti-Freak! At least for those players who are aware of tier-discussion on TZ.

Japanese can’t make tier lists for Tekken. Take this list as a gain of salt.

i havent been in along time… just trying to keep this thread current…

So let me get this, Jin was good in T6 and they bumped him down in BR but they kept Steve the same? :wtf:

the fact miguel is got D listed makes me sick. dude was beastly in T6 but in BR, he got raped badly.

anyone else think from the lars gameplay vids he should be S tier?

i have been looking but nothing that would make him S in my op. could i trouble you to link me a few that makes him S tier?

Sorry but no. All multiplataform games that doesnt require a mandatory ps3 install loads actually faster on the xbox (fallout, RE5, etc). The blu-ray reader is waaay slower than the dvd-9 reader. Fact.

Also there are actually games on 360 that DEMAND HDD to be played (Final Fantasy XI or Oblivion expansions).

VF5 had the same issues too and the game ended better on the 360, graphically and online.

No fanboyism here nor flamewar baiting. Just putting some stuff clear.

I also DONT bought that crap that namco says that the PS3 SPU is at 100% with T6BR cause its A YEAR OLD game. Killzone 3 is WAY more good looking than anything and Guerrilla soft stated that his SPU was at 60% or so.

Damn marketing stuff.

GGs everyone

you guys dont like the 360 much?

Im sure they will find a way to get this game to run fine on the 360.

Japan has gotten WAY better at Tekken recently. It’s not really a situation where we can just ignore Japan’s opinion on the game anymore, tbh.

Gimpy:
Steve wasn’t top tier in T6.0, not by a long shot.

No, that has nothing to do with anything. Thier tier lists for Tekken have always sucked. Example, Julia being the best character in 5.0 according to their tier list(only after SBO did they change it). The said Julia, Steve, and Lei were top tier in DR, which is a joke. Characters dropping drastically from T6 to BR or raising drastically without reason too and you really trust it? The truth is, they can’t make accurate tier lists for Tekken.

I think Lars IS tier S, or close to it. Played against one of the best Kaz players today who uses him. And the fact that I can’t tell you what makes him S tier confirms my statement. He seems extremely safe with off the wall moves and combos that hurt as much as they look. And seems able to punish nearly everything. Maybe I just don’t know how to fight him yet. But I can already predict people are going to be having one hell of a time with him. Dude isn’t even a Tekken character. He doesn’t belong in the game…

Yes I am a hater.

just curious why you think he doesn’t fit. “hell of a time with him” good, bad… funky ass timing… what?

He fits I guess. He just moves different than the rest of the cast. Felt like I was playing another game when I picked him. It especially looks that way if anyone good is playing with him. He’s doing all this funkified shit on you and there seems to be no apparent escape . I think it really takes doing your hw on the character because he has stuff to fuck you up in any situation. In particular this high ass flipping kick that’s a high launcher that he gets a huge combo off of. It seems hella fast and he was punishhing everything with it. Then he has deceptive lows and all that. Wall game is sick.

He’s a cool character. I just think he’s a bit overwhelming, especially to someone that doesn’t know his attacks and strings if a good player is truly mixing it up and punishing with him. I was WTF for like 40 matches. Dude is insane.

Sorry if I can’t be more in depth. My eyes aren’t trained for that type of shit in 3D games so I can’t call it right now. You can check character forums on Tekken Zaibatsu for whatever info they have on him.

i want to see a south korea tier list

VF5 for PS3 was a barebones port that took advantage of nothing the PS3 could do way back near launch. They theoretically could’ve put it on the 360 then as well. They ALSO could’ve put Ver C on PS3 as a DL addon like DRO, but I suppose MS had the better deal at that moment.

Ver C didn’t have a huge graphical overhaul like VF5R did, so the graphical part of the argument falls kinda flat. They already made one port, what’s so hard about refining the port and putting it on another system? Didn’t we go through this same scenario with like 218497932 time-exclusives last gen?

As for online, there’s no real way to compare no online play and online play when from an outsider’s view they were paid to get online when they said for quite a long time that they wouldn’t do it.

Consider that the Arcadia tier lists are usually compiled MONTHLY. Just like any early life tier list, DO NOT TAKE THEM AS GOSPEL. The tier lists they put out are a cross-section of what’s winning at the moment. If people are saving the good shit for SBO or whatever, then don’t blame the magazine.

Don’t use Tougeki Damashii as a basis either because those are bi-monthly/seasonal.

As for 5.0, all the characters weren’t even unlocked until right before SBO quals that year, so obviously shit would change.

People were saying the same about Zafina back in 6.0, and at the end of its life she ended up dropping from the middle of a small A+ bracket to the bottom of the really huge A bracket. Give people time and exposure, and shit will fall into place.

I dunno, Lars doesn’t strike me as S tier. Good punishes but his lows leave something to be desired imo. Nothing that makes me think “oh I’d better duck and risk eating one of his billion good mids.” Also he just doesn’t seem to get good frame advantage off anything on block (or hit, in some cases). He’s good, at the very least, but is he better than everybody else? I don’t think that’s a statement that can be said about Lars just yet.

This game has officially stole my heart away from Street Fighter.

I recently started playing(T6BR) and bought a card (picked Steve).

and wow, i got like 0 wins 9 loses today. people were telling me Steve isn’t a beginner character.

What can I do to improve my game play? practicing T5DR on the PSP is pure ass.
