Uhm…I thought the 360 had better hardware than the PS3? I always read about how bad some games freeze on the PS3 and I have never read or seen anything like that on a 360.
Regardless of console specs, Blu-ray discs gives developers a lot of space to work with.
Yeah, I read it again and they were just mentioning the fact, that it will be a challenge to fit the game onto a DVD and use the drive’s reading speed effectively.
It’s not so much bad news for T6BR as it is for future Tekkens.
If you read that article more closely you will understand what the purpose of it is.
The arcade version is based off the ps3 architecture, so they have to recode things for the 360.
It’s not saying they’re having trouble with Tekken 6 being on the xbox. It’s basically saying that Tekken 6 is getting to the limits of the 360 because DVD’s are too limited in space and speed.
Say if Tekken 7 was to be released in two or three years, that game may not be developed for anything other than a Sony system. Bluray is just the better media choice.
But I assume that by then all consoles will come with very large hard drives, people will be required to install games onto their hard drives.

I don’t care how long this game takes to comes out anymore. If it does take longer to come out than what the official release date currently is, matchmaking should be better than what it is like in SF4 and HDR, and netplay should be at least at the same level as those mentioned games. Or else there’s going to be hell to pay. AKA, I shit my pants in a fit of nerd rage. : /
Make the whole game DLC, like T5DR. And save the world of some packaging too: DVD/Blu-Ray, boxes, manuals no-one reads, shelf-space.
The great thing about T5DR was that I didn’t have to eject the current Blu-Ray, find, and insert another Blu-Ray in the PS3. Just turn on the PS3 and go. My 2 cents.
