yep it’s typical fan boy pride. People usually have only enough money to buy one machine, in this case SP3 or 360, and people are proud creatures. They don’t like to admit they made the wrong choice or wasted their money. People that bought PS3 because PS2 was so rampantly successful must feel a bit silly now, and rather than say “damn, I bought the wrong console” they’ll get angry and say things like “Tekken on 360 is just wrong”.
Fuck them. Way I’ve always seen it is buy the console that suits your needs best, and if circumstance change, trade that shit in. Simple. Don’t support a console like you would support a sports team.

Personally, the whole Tekken 6 hittin the 360 isn’t a big deal to me but I really wish they would just release the damn game already THEN work on the 360 version.
leave the fighting genre out of the stupid console war and be happy the user base will be bigger now. who cares which system is “better” as long as we all can play the same great games…

i bought a ps2 almost exclusively for tekken tag, then tekken 4 then tekken 5… then i bought a ps3 for mgs4 and tekken l5g dr after playing it on psp, then i bought a psp to play tekken 5 dr on the go aka in class or what have you. now i gotta wait another year for tekken 6 on console and at the same time ps3 gets it, live will have dr. and it will problby run sm00th as hell on it… im not a playstation fanboy but i’m a tekken fan… if i hadn’t a bought my ps3 i definately would be considering an 360 but microsoft is gonna have the 720 out in what a couple years so whats the point in buying dated hardware. my beef is that br won’t come out earlier for ps3 im mean damn it was built for us by us (ps3’)
No, this generation still has at LEAST 2 years left in it man all bullshit aside I think this Holiday Season will only be the “Halfway” mark for the Generation.
The ONLY people to announce what they are doing in 2010 and up is Nintendo, we are gonna be hanging with PS3 and 360 till at least 2012.

Yes, because obviously only the PS3’s userbase is mostly SERIOUS FIGHTING GAME PLAYERS. :rolleyes: The vast majority of folks who play fighting games play casually, regardless of platform. We’re a minority among players.

Um, Lots of the younger community got the 360 for one fuckin game. Hell, MOST of the community got it for halo 3/GOW. Not trying to be a fan boy, But thats just a stupid idea. Good in the fact that it MIGHT make them alot more money, But Making a TTT2 would probably make them just as much. Sadly, That dissapointment has gone away once I saw I have to wait another year -_-

Dude, you missed my point. Just because a lot of 360 owners play FPSes doesn’t mean they’re not interested in or bad at fighting games, nor does it mean PS3 is only for “serious” fighting gamers. What you’re doing is the equivalent of saying PS3 gamers don’t care about or suck at fighting games because most people bought the system for Final Fantasy XIII or MGS4.
There are many fighter fans with a 360 that are starving for a game like Tekken, and this announcement is great for them. Unless you spend a lot of time with 360 owners, don’t generalize them.
Yeah I bought a 360 almost specifically because VF5 was getting an updated version on the 360 that you could play online. I didn’t get it for Halo 3, Gears of War, or any other staple 360 game. I got it for a fighting game that definitely should have sold more than it did. Really good game. I’m just too lazy to get good at it.
