TEKKEN 6 Bloodline Rebellion Thread - PS3/XBOX 360 Oct. 27, PSP Nov. 3

In a nutshell-
Practice backdash cancel till you can do it with ease since it’s a must in Tekken.
Go read Lee’s top 10 moves in TZ, learn 1 or 2 easy staple combos (1 w/o a wall, and 1 with a wall) and watch some matches and you are good to go for your 1st few sessions.
Later you should read up some more, check out how to punish stuff being thrown at you, and try to find different solutions to situations using the training mode’s record function.

About looking at top 10 of other players:
It’s a pain for noobs to figure out which moves are the best from a pool of 100+ moves.
It’s easier to try what other players discovered so far, and decided for yourself.
If it’s really good, you’ll get to understand why it’s good (or not) from experiencing with it 1st hand.

TZ should be helpful for the most part regarding other characters vs Lee as don’t most sections in the T6 forum each feature a “Top 10 moves” section that you’re likely to find coming at ya from said characters? Of course frame data will also help in that department.

Yeah, I need to start playing DR just so I can understand how the game works. Understand the basics and whatnot. I cannot wait for this game to come out.

I’ve been to TZ. and I’ve mostly learned what moves are what. I’m not too new to tekken, but I played DR for a little while, I was a hwo and julia player then(ff+1 wall carry FTW).

I would learn combos, but I dont understand what the “:1~f” is. is that the dash after Lee’s 1,2?
b+1:1~f,N, 2, b+1:1~f,N, f+4,3, B! d/f+3,2,3

Everytime you see that, you do the moves right after each other so for this, you would push forward right after you press 1. Don’t press it at the same time and before the second 1 comes out.

the b+1:1 -> the : means you have to hit “1” right as the other “1” hits.
example: b+1, right as it hits -> 1. Considered to be a just frame.

the ~ means “quickly after” or “immediately after”. And to answer your question, yes, that is the lee’s mist step or dash.

hmm ok, making it sound like a Just Frame makes more sense to me. Thanks for the explanation. I’m good to really start playing now.

Does the old b+1,2,1 method still work for lee’s b+1:1, where the 2 thrown in the middle perfectly spaces out the two 1’s? I know it worked like a charm in T5: DR.

Thanks for the help, guys.

Would Jack qualify as a more SF-style character? I know Ricky & Arturo use him, so that’s kinda why I’m assuming that.

I might just play Miguel anyway, the main point for me is he’s not about mixups and being so unsafe forces you to play smart all the time. From what I’ve read people used to think he was trash but now he’s mid-tier…

IMO at high levels he is pretty simple. db1, ff1, 1+2, 21, df2 are the moves you’ll be using the most. Those moves have great reach and he’ll teach you to play spacing since he practically rule range 2. As for SF style character? uh don’t ask me that, I never really got into SF

Miguel. The only thing I heard is how inconsistent his juggles are, but I guess people found better juggles now since they stop complaining about it?

…I can kinda see that. Alot of SF is about zoning/poking, and Jack does that pretty well because of his db+1(and mixups afterwards), the range on his df+2, and he has the ability to create space well with b+2. Plus his throws are pretty good, and he doesn’t rely on movement like alot of the cast.

listen to this guy, his Julia is insane.

btw, ShinkuuR, this is sciolist from TZ (big white guy who came down to FR with Foxfire a couple years ago and roomed with you and Travis). i still tell anyone who will listen that if you never go to another tournament, at least go to Final Round. hope to see you around after T6 drops.

Hey man what’s up! Yeah, I’ll be at FR for sure next year after some much needed time with BR. I haven’t even played Vanilla T6 yet!!! Hopefully I’ll see you two there!

for sure. and don’t worry, VA diddn’t get T6 light either…some of the guys have been to Jersey, but that’s about it.

Thats nice…

Mr.Julio please tell me GameStop is having tournaments upon release? The SF4 tournaments were such a success. *make it happen *

ShinkuuR is a noob

dont listen to that scrub

Be on PSN tomorrow night for some SF4ness.

I like how you and Zachary wait this late to hit the thread after all the good discussions. Get pwned Scrubakin.
