It stands for Level Up Your Game! it started in SoCal, and was brought to/copied in NorCal. It’s basically “amateur” tournaments. It’s for people without much tourney exerience to encourage new blood into the scene that might be afraid to play because they’re intimidated by the seasoned veterans.

I think it’s a great idea, that can really get interest in Tekken up.
and at high level Tekken play, pulling off those same half-life combos aren’t always easy. Sure someone can learn to do them easy enough against a computer or scrubby opponent, but to actually execute when you need it in a tournament environment is a whole other thing entirely. Just saying, don’t think Tekken is any less complex/easy to learn a game than SF4.

Let’s just say from your threads and posts in the past about tekken were less then enlightend. If you really do care to learn, that’s great! I just think it’s rather odd that that people play 2d bitch about air combos like their isn’t any. I’m using BB(which I love) as an example. Litchi has air combos for days. The hypocircy is great!
You are welcomed to check my thread again and see I never complained about the existence of juggles in Tekken, just the lack of what I consider originality and diversity among the cast. But I still play the game and enjoy it, even if not as much as other games.
Now we can go back to the real subject of that post which is Harada himself giving an answer that doesn’t do justice to high level tekken play.

Just got back from playing T6BR on a TV as big as this one at an electronic exhibition event.
I got kicked from there for winning and doing “winner stays” 
i just preordered this game! i’m excited.
Mhhhh at high level all games tend to have more " staple combos" cause everyone is always lookin for the more damaging onesso that doesnt bother me. VF is the one I’ ve seen that has the less but that miicght be due to the difficult of doing combos and stuff in there.
