Asuka you say?! 1+4 all day son. Im not saying your asuka is bad, I’ve seen good asukas. I just stereotyped you thats all. I also play kings :<
dunno if the bundle would be worth it… sounds like a good deal $150 for the game and stick… but i already got a stick en route and it’s superior to thiers… and mines wired… and there are no wireless controllers allowed at EVO and they cause problems at other events aswell…
yes… VF5 online play was prolly the most reliable, and the smoothest… SC4 and SF4 prolly take second place… if Tekken 6 gets an online experience that is as comfortable and up-to-speed as any of those 3 games… i’ll be content
oh yea, when the time comes im gonna need a lot of grappler (king, asuka, julia, kuma, ect.) players to practice against, so if you’re throw happy in Tekken add my XBL GT:Yyin9564
All good, I’m sure you can imagine I’ve caught a lot of slack for playing her… Dragonlord on US DRO with asuka as a main… Yeah, that goes over real well with people. As such, I get a little defensive, but most people usually stop harassing me when they realize I use legitimate tactics.
p.s. u/f+3, d/b+1 owns face.
I still play from time to time, been awhile on DRO though. I could probably teach you the ropes. I’m not the best player in the world by any means, but I’m a solid opponent.
Damnit, hopefully the wireless T6 stick has a plug or something. >_<
I’m pretty sure the wireless T6 stick will have a cable equipped for charging it. Unless the stick uses batteries.
^didn’t think about that… hm… dunno… but hears a thought… franchise 3v3 team pimp fights: team Tapthat Tekken: Bruce, Lee, and Dragon/Law going up against team Drumit DOA: Zack, Ein, and Jan Lee… who would win… BUT! the victory is divided up by 3 sets of points: if they win the fight, how flashy they are during the fight, and how much tail they get wether or not they win the fight… pick your pony now…
…sorry… just a random thought
Dilly even with Feng’s “tell” you can’t crush that on reaction man. I’m sorry, sounds like you’re blowing smoke out your ass with that. And, if anything, you get lucky and guess on that. I can guarantee if you played any good Feng’s you wouldn’t crush that on reaction, you’d probably get fucked up by d+2 and d+4. d/b 3 is hard to tell it’s coming, I will say this cause Feng Wei mirror matches are hard, especially since the other Feng can do the same annoying shit you do to others.
I personally wouldn’t be so happy with SF4 or SC4’s netcode for Tekken, if it’s VF5’s level it’d be cool and somewhat passable if you stay within that 3 or 4 states radius, like you should online anyway. But namco should take the netcode further, it should go beyond even that.
d+3+4 is a instant low-crush… ANYTHING that even considers going low, it’ll go right thru asuka and get launched. It’ll crush d+4(although d+4 is WAY too fast to crush by reaction because it’s not a tell-tale animation at all) AND d+2 as well man. I could literally start it the frame before d/b+3 connects, still avoid it, even if you clearly saw d/b+3 connect with asuka. It kills any low, MURDER style.
My old room-mate only played feng, all day, all night. We’d run up HUNDREDS of matches per day. That was his character of choice since T5 came out. He LOVED that move(rightfully so, it’s a great low poke, but it’s risky). I got so use to seeing it, that the once I see feng start the animation I instantly hit d+3+4, which was risky in T5 because on non-CH it didn’t jail on hit, so if I didn’t catch it in time I got ducked and launched.
People questioned it a few times, but after a few have seen it with their own eyes, they realized it can be done. Tyrant on DRO found out first hand, out of 12 matches he only managed to get ONE to connect against me outside of oki. There was a few witnesses to said match, and that was online man, where it’s even harder to pull off.
Some people can react to specific animations better than others. An example, some can see hands with throws, that’s 12 frames(4 frames faster, and a less telegraphing animation), but they can see which hand was further and break it consistently, meanwhile some people can’t even react to Snake Edge. For some reason, feng’s d/b+3 just stands out to me, and I manage to crush it consistently, likely due to the years of practice I had against said move.
I have high hopes with namco promising international play being possible, and touting it as a major feature.
Dilly, I don’t believe you dude. I’m sorry I just don’t. No more words, Play me online a few matches. Or upload a few of your matches.
Haha. Niggaz not crushing Feng’s d/b+3 on reaction in the middle of an intense match. Either you were already anticipating it or already doing a move that counters. It’s slow as fuck but you’re not in the middle of a match going “d/b+3, I see it, yes!”->punish.
Your friend probably just spammed the fuck out of the move and you rhythmically knew when it was coming.
Reason im even posting in here- thinking about jumping back into the tekken tourny scene again. I didn’t want to start a debate about people blocking quick lows, etc. It looks like im going to go to the next FR along with Kor, Crow and Neo-X, and possibly other houston players. Whom can I expect to see there? =D
Expect to see me on the scene for the first time ever. I’ll let people know that the south is alive T_T we’re alive god damn it!
you from NoLa? Lot of good players to learn from there. Give my regards to the scene (or whats left)
Believe whatever you wish, that’s up to you. Doesn’t hurt me in the slightest if you don’t, and frankly being on a web forum I really can’t blame you if you don’t. Especially thanks to the dreaded 09 sign up date.
If you want to play DRO sometime though, where are you located? I’m in STL MO, so if you’re close to the area then we can do so if you want. Haven’t played it in awhile though, so I’ll have to readjust to the delay.
Eh, I wouldn’t say he spammed it, it just for some reason clicks with me, can’t quite explain it. It’s similar to how people see the hands in a throw and think “left hand’s forward, 1 break”.
Now that I think about it, you CAN see the shit, but seeing->reacting every single time is unlikely imo. But some people have uncanny reaction-execution so maybe so.
I live two hours away from you, we can play DRO and you can prove you can crush it.
I do not believe it.
Thats what I’m saying, I think he’s guessing, very good guessing, but I don’t think anyone can say that they can crush it all the time.
Dilly, to take out the human element I’ll believe you if you go into practice mode and do the following:
-
Pick Asuka (you) vs Feng (cpu).
-
Mode Select = Defensive Training
-
Interval Slow
-
Select the following moves
Piercing Arrow (d/b+3)
Lift Kick (d/f+3)
Hungry Tiger (b+2,3,4,2)
Demolishing Fist (qcf+2) *optional for greater challenge -
Select to play
-
Block all the mids and crush the low as best you can for a reasonable amount of time (maybe 20 minutes).
If you can do that and still come back to say with total honesty that you can infact crush d/b+3 on reaction I’ll believe you. Not that you need me to believe you, but it’d be interesting.
Oh, and I plan to go to FinalRound13.
Sounds like an interesting test. Side note is that Asuka is one of the few fighters in the game that can crush the 3 in hungry tiger. Not sure who else can, but I know asuka’s d+3+4 can do it.
I’ll try it out tomorrow, my woman fell asleep on the couch and she gets super pissed if she gets awakened by the sound of “click-click-click” on the HRAP2: SA… which brings up a side-note. Anyone know a good way to dampen the noise on these things?
