Yeah, shit is sad. The thing is most people don’t know this, and that’s usually how Jack gets away with half of his BS, people not knowing what to do against it.
Someone should take half the tracking from Mishimas and Bryan and give it to the large characters. >=O
So true. But now I know, and knowing is half the battle.
Man, this shit makes me wish that Marduk’s d/f+3,d+1 was jab punishable again. A man can dream.
YAY! I finally found my Jin card… I still have around 100k to spend on that card… but I already spent so much money on my Heihachi card… too bad we don’t just get free shit like in Japan. I hate you guys for that, SK… lol. Especially fucking all the Tekken shit on your phone.
haha ducky when you get a tekken net card, you get like 300,000g to START with.but you have to pay 300 yen per month anyway in addition to the price of yoru card, so it kinda balances out, not really free.
shinobidj: not in tokyo anymore, had to get back to school in the USA. ill be back next summer though, and i miss that tekken comp already…fuck…its too unreal (talking about #'s of players)
RushSogetsu: That list is about right. I didn’t see as many XX/ and MB:AC cabinets as I thought I would, though.
mad jack-5 talk lately in here for some reason? people still dont know how punishable df+2 is on block? i dunno, i think he got a lot worse…his db+1 followups seem to not be as good on block since i always fucking get sidewalked before db+1 hits, or even after it hits and i try to go for anythign else other than wr 4. combined with the fact that im always scared of having my db+1 crushed a lot so i have to play really patient (esp against bryan, etc)…which translates to a loss if they can crush my db+1 without any real fear + punish df+2 unless i rush them the fuck down
Teach me how to block Arturo.
D:
This is a new suggestion/experiment im working on in Tekken DR. Im getting good at mokujin. The reason i decided this is that if i get pretty good at all the characters i can use him and that way in tournaments usually people play 1 or 2 characters the whole time and sometimes becomes predictable…if i do it this way then i will be totally unpredicatable.
Not a good idea. Mokujin plays differently for certain characters that have odd limbs(Jack/Marduk/Kuma arms, Kuma legs). Most of their better techniques don’t work with Moku, and you’ll end up having to do nerfed damage in most cases, or not even bother doing things that would be guaranteed in most cases. Moku should never be anyone’s main, but should be used so you can understand how certain characters work without having to use that particular char.
Don’t forget we get free G every month, and discounts on items every few weeks~
And much robot love. Keep that shit alive over in CF bro.
If it doesn’t have cute anime girls hopping around you can’t figure out what’s going on and block? NERD. >=O
j/k don’t kick me out of TLK

Like 300 yen is a lot of money. That’s like 4 games over here. I want to go back to Japan soon too… playing hardcore over there with all the available comp really ups your game.
A player’s predictability isn’t determined by their character. Instead, it’s derived from their playing style and/or the opponent’s familiarity with your character. Just because you get a random character each round doesn’t mean you’ll avoid falling into similar patterns, and your strategy is totally useless if they’ve had adequate exposure to every character in the game. Using random shitty moves isn’t reliable either, as such moves aren’t used very often for a good reason: they suck to begin with.
hehe QFT
Can someone provide some links to sites with some DR or even original T5 vids…match or combo please? I mainly rely on CV and GFB news for vids now, but I know there has to be others. Thanks in advance for any info.
You guys know that sidestep cancel shit?
u~b~u~b?
I was thinking of becoming a pad player to abuse that shit. That shit is too good.
Yup. quite useful indeed. You can also do it on a stick.
yes, abuse that. for what reason i dont know. it looks cool, and serves a purpose, but i wouldnt speak so highly of it, to say it should be abused. there are better things to learn.
lame.
go to ftp://maximi.mine.nu/
log in=tekken
password=tekken
watch videos. go to tekkenzaibatus.com , and stop being a scrub
I’m on zaibatsu, I’ve seen videos, I’ve seen Crow win with it at Evo.
And why not abuse it? If a char is weak to whichever side you can sidestep all they way behind them and get string/launcher of your choice.
5.0 Steve got 1212 with it. He don’t even need 311 he could just use that. Steve still gets it in DR but doesn’t launch.
Nina gets 432, or d32 (same with Anna)
Lee gets 1223…
goes on and on.
The shit is good. And even if they decide not to use attacks that’ll get stepped easily, you still would have got in their mind and made them afraid to attack.
So you stop being a scrub.
I had to stop random sidestepping after realizing ganryu’s d/f 2 will rape you all fucking day
You really shouldn’t be sidestepping to Ganny’s right in the first place. You’ll eat d/f+2, d/f+2+3, d/b+2, b+2, f,f+2, and d/f+4. Sidestep canceling is useful when you exploit the sides of characters which are weak against sidestep. Sidestep to Ganny’s left and you’ll probably have to worry about d/f+1, ws1 but not that much. You can sidestep cancel that sometimes.
No need to worry about the u~b~u~b crap - in fact, you don’t need to learn it as if you can sidestep the once then chances are you’ll be able to get something guaranteed anyway. Nina gets 4,3,2 on your left side only.
