Not gonna lie, that sounds like a LOT more work than what’s needed to do EWGF on a hitbox lol.

I dont see how, the only difference is I’m using right hand to press forward instead of left hand… the light punch button is RIGHT next to “forward” for p1 side… so its effortless
I just like to keep certain things uniform when performing certain techniques is all.

yea =/ its just the only way I can do it T_T
Funny, I figured this out yesterday. 100% EWGFs is a weird, weird feeling.
you play on a hitbox as well?
Yeah, just built myself one (parts came in Friday.) After a few hours of practicing I got back to an acceptable level of execution then started trying to figure out how to do EWGF and landed on using two hands. One thing to note is that all diagonals count as BOTH cardinals you use to create it, so you can do d/f + MP for cr.MP, go neutral during cr.MP’s animation, hit and hold down, then do forward + MP with your right hand to cancel cr.MP into EWGF on the P1 side.
yea that’s about the only way I’m able to do any sort of mist step out of a crouching move in game, doing it standard seems really hard for some reason =/ btw if you havent figured it out yet, you can just roll ur fingers in Q-Circle motions and get ultra fast mist steps all day
if I want to mist step in combo ( which now there isn’t a reason to do it this way on P1 side cuz I can just EWGF ) I would just input lets say st. HP - and then do 2 qtr circles ( like dantes hammer in vanilla mvc3 ) and then a button… ez mist step
I do a lot of shoryuken inputs, by nature they go in as Mist Step since you have to lift your finger off of forward, doing them legit super fast is pretty difficult but for the most part I don’t have much problem with them. I was thinking of trying double slides to do them.
I’ve never tried slides or anything mainly because I’m a marvel player switching to SFxT I have no SF experience and In marvel you have to input everything - I always QQ when it comes to half circles yet in SF4AE you can just slide 1 finger across for perfect half circle every time =P - Here is my fight stick <3

Sir, I do approve. My buddy would love that stick, haha. (He’s a huge Alien/Predator buff).
Rolling isn’t much harder than sliding, I typically roll my fingers instead of doing slides.
This is mine. Tek innovations case, paewong PCB.
I’ve since cleaned up the wires on the inside a lot. Still figuring out what artwork I want on it.
I think on the bottom I’m going to do somewthing like this:
Maybe do some FLCL artwork <3
if you wire diagonals to hitbox buttons you should be able to pull ewgf off like a boss
What do you mean?
He means having one button assigned to :df: instead of having to hit two separate buttons.
ohh yea thatd be pretty cool =P
the only thing im having a hard time with right now is connecting two rising upper cuts. any help would be nice
I feel like this is the best way to anyone to learn EWGF. After an hour and figuring out the just frame timing, my purples come out on command. Now I’m gonna try combos next.
If anyone wants to try and figure out what exactly you need to do to get the EWGF going, we can try and invite each other to that online training room. I am not sure if you can turn on inputs during the online training mode thing, but it will definitely help so that you guys can see my first post in action.
This thread has literally help me in getting the Ewgf’s down!!! Now time to learn it on 1p side >.<
