Left4Dead ain’t coming till next year.
UNTIL THE JUICE LOGS ON AND FUCKS YOUR SHIT UP
i had my first amazing spy moment last night. i sapped a sentry, dispenser, and backstabbed two snipers amedic and a heavy in one run, all in about 30 seconds.
im becomng a pro pyro, and had sme strong soldier rounds last night too.
Yeah, i used to think the soldier isn’t as strong as before, but once you start getting those kills and raising your critical, he gets pretty buff.
I’m loving TF2. I wasn’t really into TFC, but this game is amazing.
By the way, i really like the background images of the Main Menu. Is there anyway i can get them as a desktop image? I tried looking around for them in the Game’s folder, but i couldn’t find them.
He’ll probably be really good on defense in league play. I don’t really see him being used as offense due to his speed issue.
I really wish they’d bring back bunny hopping to a small degree to speed things up a bit.
Soldiers are pretty good at offense on cap related maps.
Do you mean CTF or CP maps? CTF is the only thing that matters.
My only problem with soldiers are their weak taunts.
CP, too bad theres only one CTF map so far:sad:
And a weak one. 2Fort blows to me this time around.
It seems like there is little reason to bother defending anything in the fort on 2fort but the information room. There is a suply room down there too. Just put 4-6 defenders down there (2 engi, 1 heavy, 1 medic, 1 demo) and let the offense do their thing. Just shoot anyone who comes down stairs to see if they are spies (pyros are great for this, as there is a VERY clear visual indicator of if they took damage or not). Who cares about the rest of the fort?
Back in the day, I believe the common defense in league play was 1 heavy at the top of the elevator, 1 engie at the top ramp/spawn point, 1 soldier at the bottom ramp, 1 engie in the flag room, and 1 demo piping the flag. I’d imagine something similar would still work really well here.
It’s not a good idea to have defense all bunched up in one place. It’s always important to know where enemies may be coming from.
Yea, massing defenses tends to get you a heavy or two running in ubercharged to take out everyone.
I suppose thats true. Ubercharge seems a bit broken when a REAL team is playing. On dust, for instance, a set of two medics/scouts with an uber can cap a point before uber runs out.
I could be wrong about this, but I’m pretty sure they made it so you don’t cap while you are ubercharged, but as soon as it wears off the defending team is pretty much done.
I’ll have to watct for that. I had thought for sure I was capping command points while ubered.
We should play together sometime soon Mr. Murphy.
For a little while you could cap while Ubered (I think), but no longer. Which makes sense. It was a little too easy.
And my new favorite thing is playing engineers really recklessly. As in, I don’t try to protect my guns very much. Just drop them in bizarre places, or in the way of common paths, and just watch for when they get damaged. The minute they get hit, quickly detonate them and throw up another one. It’s hectic, but lots of fun.
Offensive Engineering is awesome. Get a friend to join a server with you, and build a “City” (Dispenser, Teleporter Exit, Sentry Gun) in both corners outside their main base in 2Fort. Haha, it’s good times while it lasts, let me tell you.
I love that shit.
Me and two other engineers built the most absurd set-up at the mouth of the caves in Hydro, and since all three of us were competent, we kept them in their base over half the game. Then they switched to three medics and three pyros, got all of them ubered, and waltzed in and ruined everything. I was giggling like an idiot the entire time.
