It’s 3 hours after Portal officially released, and I already beat the story.
Fun as hell, short as hell. I do have all the bonus maps to go through though, so hopefully that’ll make the replay value worth it.
Is there a level editor for it? If so, I’m sure people will come up with some crazy ass maps for it later down the road.

Valve pretty much gives editing tools for all their games. Portal may be short, but I am actually scared for some of the levels that will come out for it. Just playing through it and seeing the potential for user created levels left me afraid, only because I always want to pass the ones people say are impossible. Reminds me of the old TFC rocket jump maps that were hard as fuck. Bring it on, that’s what makes Valve godlike.
Maybe 20 different kinds. This is seriously the best deal, maybe ever, as a package deal. I already played a few custom maps on TF2, and they weren’t bad, this during beta. It’s gonna be an all new more addictive crack all over again.
On a side note, Sonic in Brawl, GGPO full of people again, and now the full release of The Orange Box… Hell of a day for gaming, and I have little time and am way behind in everything.

I’ve been a CS nut for years, but this one has dragged me away from it. Truth be told, I needed something new. But still. It’s really, really good.
But wouldn’t you know it, the day the game is released, my graphics card fan decides to stop working. Dandy.
RIP conc jump maps. That shit was soooooooo fun back in the day.

i also think it’s sad how quake wars was drowned out by orange box (TF2). i was looking forward to it, but no more. after playing tf2 that is.

This game’s campaign is so much more fun than halo3’s campaign. How is team fortress 2? easy to get into?
Yeah. It’s pretty easy. Every class is pretty easy to play and are all viable for playing now… except the Sniper. Snipers still suck. 
I like the sniper’s, actually. I’m probably in the minority on that, but sniper fights on 2fort are awesome.
I gotta get my damn fan fixed today. I want to beat the shit out of all the new guys.
Sniper fights on 2 fort are fun… but they accomplish nothing. Only if the sniper is actually taking out incoming scouts (HARD AS FUCK), heavies, medics, demomen, etc, is that really a useful place to be.
