He kinda sounds like .
lol Magnetro, I was in the server at the time you took that screenshot. Since I remember that quote in the chatbox. :bgrin:
I personally think that most people just overthink the Spy. Sure, I have cloak and disguise but those are tools that I use when I absolutely have to. Most of my kills come from just sitting on roofs or behind corners and ambushing like a pyro, then using my cloak to run away.
I’ve topped several pubs in points doing it that way, but getting kills as a Scout is way harder. And by the way, the Force-A-Nature is a hindrance more than it’s a help. Good Scattergun skills are way more lethal.
True story, come play on sourceOP servers. I can give you the ips if you want, but man i tell you i go to other servers after playing there and rape noobs left and right. SourceOP can be hard depending on who’s on at the time. They have a lot of great players. F sake, the server is never not full…i had to buy a reserve slot and even still it’s hard sometimes to get in cuz so many others have bought it
What would you say is a good general server size to play in? In the beginning I use to play like I did in CS and just join 16v16 servers, but that shit is fuckin pointless on a lot of maps (2Fort), and now I mainly play on 10v10 or max 12v12. Smaller servers can be quite fun also.
I only play 16 v 16 on payload maps and dustbowl. Otherwise I stick to 28 tops.
16v16 on cs? lol f that. 16v16 on cs takes away from skill, it becomes more of a camp-and let others die first game.
For tf2, it’s quite the opposite. I play a 32/33 slot server. And it is always full. As long as it doesnt lag and effect my gameplay, i have no problem with it. More fun with more people in tf2
Not to mention that the Spy now has an infinite cloak. He also has the Badassador for good headshot kills. The Scout is a beast of a class, but if you can’t aim then you’re wasting your time. A Scout can 2 shot most classes, but the hard part is getting close enough to do that much damage without getting seen (Or able to make it out alive).
Spies should have been using the revolver from day one. It is a very reliable weapon. At one point the spy was probably harder to play than the scout, but that was before he started getting all the buffs. Almost everything about the Spy has been buffed. It seems like they’re making it too easy. :bluu:
I find it funny that even though they buffed disguises, they are still useless (cept for sentries).
EDIT: Has valve addressed the bugged flamethrower range? I often get caught on fire when I’m nowhere near the flamethrower range.
Yea, there came a point where I just didn’t care about improving and just played on a couple of 16v16 servers that were pretty popular a couple of years ago. Other than that, I would just play on gun game servers. Good times…
I just got like a level 64 blutsager today. Stats are the same, but its a glimpse of what’s to come I’m sure
Also, I reflected an arrow for a kill today, and thought I grabbed a screenshot, but guess I didn’t : (
Got an arrow headshot, but why bother with arrows? When I got my first reflect flare kill a few weeks ago.
All medics suck if I have to tell them when to hit an uber when im in the middle of shit, a medic is ok if he hits it when i tell him, but a fuckin medic pwns if he knows exactly when it should be hit without me telling him.
As a medic…I try to coordinate a plan with a chosen player. I make sure that they have sufficient ammo to get the job done. There were namy times that I would uber a heavy/soldierdemoman, and he’s out of ammo.
I agree with Geese Pants. As a Medic player, those of other classes are quick to point out shitty Medics, but most players:
- Can’t defend you when you’re healing them
- Can’t sit still so I can heal them
- Steal health pickups from you
- Run back to spawn instead of letting you heal them since it charges uber faster
And as far as the Medic knowing when to uber, given that the receiver of the ubercharge is taking point, knows their ammo count, and will be able to assess the threats before I even see them, I usually much rather prefer they call for it instead of just throwing it on someone when I feel it’s right.
This 1,000,000 times
I can’t tell you how many times I’ve been called a bad medic by a heavy for ditching him to run away from the 2-3 pyros he let walk right past him
Update
No way. That’s ULTRA BROKEN (for the spy).
Am I allowed to post in this thread even though I play TF2 on the 360?
Nope.
Ambassador nerf is totally fair.
I’m really stoked about the Dead Ringer buffs, as I’ve been using that as my main watch for quite sometime now. Pyros are still a pain to get away from once they hear the concert-decibel-level-decloak, but it just makes landing that occasional headshot as they charge that much more rewarding.
