Team Fortress 2 - Heavy Update, New Maps, New Mode are all live now!

My list goes

Pyro
Soldier
Medic
Heavy
Sniper
Scout
Demo
Engineer
Spy

I put Pyro and Soldier above Medic simply because as easy as it is to be a medic. You’re also a high priority target for just about every other class. So if you have a shitty teammate and don’t know when to get the fuck out you’re going to die alot.

Demo was the one I disagreed with you most I think Demo is probably the hardest class for new players to get the hang of, and pretty hard to play effectively for those who do. So I put him higher.

Engineer and Spy I think are the hardest classes simply because their jobs get harder as people get better at the game. and both require experience and knowledge about the game to be effective with.

The Medic is faster than the Pyro, and lol Backburner.

The shit that drives me fuckin’ crazy is the time period of being caught on fire. Nothin’ pisses me off more than struggling to take out a pyro while being on fire, succeeding, and then dieing a foot away from health/water. And the final kick in the balls? Seeing a quick screenshot of the pyro in his spawn…:grrr:

While that may be true, Medic is only as fast as the person he’s healing/Uberring. When you’re stuck side by side with a Heavy, you’re ass isn’t moving.

And I don’t know if you’re laughing because you think Backburner’s easy to dodge (I personally don’t when I’ve got my hands full trying to snipe or take out a group of people and some Pyro gets behind me) but the truth of it is, the 30 hours I’ve played, I haven’t seen one Pyro with compression. Honest to God.

Pretty much.

obviously you play on scrubby servers

Yeah me too

Yeah I just play with my friends tbh

I use compression when I play pyro

and get on their case for not even making an effort to play with compression.

In my opinion it’s the only thing that makes Pyro fun.

Before the update I would have never touched the class

Which is why I said bad teammates

I’ve seen alot of new players get burned down by pyros because incompetent heavys let them walk right past them.

Obviously I haven’t logged enough hours to know the difference between servers. Save for SourceOP. According to my brother, that’s one where people are a bit more elite. Either way, I go to about 7 or 8 servers. I can’t imagine they’re all shit.

some of you add me!

and i agree that if pyros constantly get behind you = your team scrubby.

and besides if you can get behind a player with pyro their most likely gonna die anyways without the behind criticals, except heavies. theres alot of useful things you can do with the compression blast.

their are only 2 things a good spy has to do. destroy teleporters and kill medics so they dont get ubers. anything else is just icing on the cake. hell in fact all you would have to do is kill the medics before they get uber and any competent team will steam roll the other if the opponent cant get a uber up.

get like me

That compression shot saved my ass yesterday. Reflected a Crits Rocket back at a Soldier-Medic combo, OHKO’d Medic and finished Soldier off with a single Shotty shell. Plus, you can totally screw up the other team’s ubers. Compression is very awesome.

Whats your Steamname, Magnetro?

See thing is it depends on the game type. if you’re doing CP or Payload it’s different than Arena or the Payload race. But overall It’s Demo/Spy which are the toughest classes. These classes are all about location. Engineer would be next due to the same issue about location but usually have some form of backup (assuming the team is good and works together)

From easiest to hardest, I’d say it’s:

Heavy > Medic > Soldier > Pyro > Engineer > Sniper > Demoman > Scout > Spy

However, I think it’s also very easy to be a bad Heavy or a bad Medic. So Chopperman’s list at the top four is probably more accurate than mine.

At any rate, compression blast is the reason why Pyro is so fucking awesome. I play Pyro/Heavy/Medic most of the time, and when I play Pyro my goal is to jump you and burn you (or send your rocket right the fuck back at you), or to make sure my team’s Engineers keep their peace of mind. Depends on what we’ve got to do, of course.

Eh, in all honesty I think it’s harder to play a Heavy than a Medic or an Engi. If you’re playing against a half-decent team you’ll get backstabbed and headshotted A LOT as a Heavy.

Yeah, the difference between playing poorly as a Heavy and playing well is mainly knowing the good spots to camp at with a medic. heh

Scout is definitely the hardest class to play.

You must be drunk. Spy is a billion times harder than the Scout. Double jump, Force-A-Nature, fast as shit, not as flammable as the Spy, Sandman, and you can actually run away on foot from most enemies if you have to.

Scout is braindead easy if you play other FPS that has speed. When you’re at half life, run away and get some health. Run backwards + pistol to kill people constantly. I’m never below 4:1 k:d when I play him on most above average pubs.

What did you use to record this?

If guilty gear players played TF2:
