Team Fortress 2 - Heavy Update, New Maps, New Mode are all live now!

Just did it, that was satisfying. Hope he makes some more.I had PLENTY of time to spare though, as the orb could’ve made another lap before it disappeared. Is anything supposed to happen after you go through the door? My screen just goes black.

This shit it just way to tedious for me, I am tired of trying to stack shit inside other shit just to weigh something down when the stacking in itself is a pain in the ass and doesnt control all that well. Probably done with this HL.

Yeah, see-saw puzzles after the first HL became a bit tedious. Fortunately there aren’t very many of them.

A little update on my problem… Ok so apparently ATI has not released any update drivers at all, I have an abandoned graphics card meaning, unless I get a new one I can’t play TF2 for more than a few minutes at a time and I can’t play portal at all. Which is fucked because both games worked fine out of the box, then both started crashing.

Although I have been playing a little HL2, I missed this game when it came out, having some fun with it.

I think I’m gonna buy a laptop soon for my gaming purposes. Strangely the longer I wait to try and run TF2 the longer it runs when I eventually try playing it again. I think my computer hates me and wants me to only play games at the end of the week.

When I do play TF2 I’ve been foolin’ around with the heavy, probably cause I’m used to Halo. If you see TheBaffler ever, that’s me.

if you have mcfee or avg as an autovirusscan try disabling them and see if that helps with the crashing.

So I hopped on for the first time in a few weeks… and I am terrible again.

I still love this game, but I guess I got too used to CoD4.

Finally got the Orange Box (on PC). TF2 is awesome. I’m in the SRK group. Hit me up.

Bumperu.

Ok, got tired of the Heavy (although I still play him if it seems like the team would benefit) Been playing Pyro, Demoman and Engineer.

Does anyone have Demoman tips?

P.s. A team consisting of good soldiers = GGPO apposing team.

or at least that’s how it seems.

Demoman is all about the stickies. And then, it’s all about staying alive so you can use them. I’m not too good with a demoman yet but I rather enjoy playing them when we really need some crucial defense.

Good soldiers are indeed, uh, good heh. But it still just depends on the map and situation. If both teams have superb defense on a ctf map for example, all the soldiers and medics in the world aren’t worth a thing. Only thing getting in and out of there are good spies.

I still feel now as I did the first day I played it. Pyro > Spy > everything else > Pyro.

I love playing as a medic. Don’t mind that support role at all.

Heck yeah me too! It’s not bad because you are almost guaranteed to be in the heat of action 90% of the time. Very fun.:woot:

My most played classes are

Engineer 10 hours
Demoman 8 hours
Pyro 6 hours
Medic 5 hours

Engineer 22 hours
Spy 14 hours
Scout 11 hours
Medic 8 hours

The rest are around 5 hours for me, except pyro, heavy, and soldier. Those are all under 1 hour lol. I don’t like those three too much. =p

the only one i really dont like is Heavy, and I like spy, but i suck at it… so those both have a low playtime for me.

Man, every time I play fall in love with another class. Today was demo day.

I probably like both Spy and Scout more than Engineer, but the reason my Engineer has considerably more play-time is just due to the nature of the class.

When I’m playing offensively (spy, scout, etc), I am constantly switching classes in order to fit offensive needs.

When I’m an engineer, I set up shop and then I don’t want to switch classes. I feel obligated to my team to keep the porters up and running for them, keep my sentry defense effective, and keep dispensers up for people.

When I play Engineer, I stay that the whole game usually.

When I play offense, I switch classes every few deaths.

Im the same way with engineer. generally, even on defense, i changed classes to fit what we need.

My Sniper is getting better. I’m now the kind that actually goes up there to shoot the moving targets, not just other snipers. It is hard knowing that you don’t have full power when you shoot someone (especially when no-scoping) but the damage still makes enough impact to either kill him due to prior damage, or to make back off because he doesn’t want to die to your secondary rifle.

On class changing… usually when I’m Engineer and I know there’s no way I’ll rebuild my lvl 3 sentry + dispenser, that’s a good time to switch up.

I’m 3 hours into Episode 2, and I’m very impressed. Episode 1 was a bit of a dissapointment, imo. Ep. 2 is really entertaining so far, and I know just enough about the plot to know that I’m going to be waiting very impatiently for the third episode. I hope we don’t have to wait another 2 years for it.

Does anyone play on the PHLORPH server?

It seems like the only server I can connect to regularly without my computer conking out.
