ep2 was fantastic, way better then ep1 bore fest… :tup:
Darn it. I guess I’ve put off getting a new DVD drive for long enough. I got the game but couldn’t install it. Now I’m downloading the thing through Steam which will take hours. That’s the only reason I went and bought a hard copy of the game in the first place, so I wouldn’t have to bother DL’ing it.
Oh well I’ll play it tomorrow I guess. =(
So, I just beat Ep2, and WOW. Is all I got to say. After playing Halo 3 for the past few weeks, this game reminds me how bad Halo’s campaigns trully are in comparison(not too surprising, really). Seriously though, it was just amazing from start to finish, much better then Ep1. Ep3 is probably going o be the best thing ever made, if they keep this up. Wonder how they’ll top the Orange box though…might just be stand-alone this time around.
Anyways, I think I’m having a problem with the PC version of Ep1 and Ep2. Isn’t there supposed to be some that plays after the credits roll? I didn’t get anything for either game, it just cuts off and goes to the title screen? Anyone know what’s up?
I just beat portal today and episode 1 yesterday. Portal is too good and even though I beat ep1 before, I still enjoyed it. I’ve been hearing everyone praise episode 2 how it’s better than hl2 and way better than ep1.
I actually enjoyed episode 1 (more than halo and bioshock) so I can’t wait to play ep2.
Getting golds on the challenge levels is going to drive me to suicide.
Ok, now that I finally beat everything in The Orange Box, I can finally focus on the sexiness that is TF2(only tried it a little to focus on the single player stuff). Well, I just hit a brick wall with this game. For the first time in like, forever, I just don’t know what to do. I haven’t found a favorite class, and can’t play any of them well enough to become useful to the team. And since I own the PC version(and have no mic for my pc), people rarely seem to communicate, which sucks for a game like this.
So, any tips/strats/advice for me to get in the right mind set to play this? Any advice for what classes to play? Only MP FPS I’ve been playing for the past month or so is Halo 3, so this is going to take some getting used to.
EDIT Not sure if you guys saw this, but I thought it was SOOOO good, I’m going to be a Pyro from now on, haha.
Man Me, Tragic and Sabre just dominated TF 2. All three of us had over 100 kills and were the only ones with that many. It was funny to because we were down 2-0 in a best to 5 and we came back and won 5 straight. Engineer is fucking great, spies kept coming after me and I kept blasting them.
If you dont know what to do just pick Demo, you can never go wrong. You just have to learn how the nades bounce.
Just beat Portal. 
Great game. Hilarious ending. Haven’t touched the advanced levels yet though, I’m installing TF2 now.
I want to be a scout. We’ll see how I do heh.
Use the pistol, its like a light version of the Halo 1 pistol. Great for headshots
The pistol is good from farther away, I even take out sentries with it. Up close the spray gun he has is absolutely devastating. You can take out even heavys with it if you are a good double jump/ strafer that can aim at his head. If you run up behinnd someone they are pretty much dead as 1-3 shots to the melon at point blank, will kill pretty much any class.
Scouts are really fun this time around.
On a side note for anyone who is reading this, that for whatever reason, does not want to play portal. Here is the best end credits song in the hisory of end credits songs. Though it really doesn’t ruin much, Don’t click on it if you are going to play it, it’s much more satisfying after finishing it yourself.
Portal was awesome. Credits were top tier.
Man, I can’t get enough Orange Box. I haven’t played TF2 in a while, but I’m craving it and I can’t wait to play again. I’m working through Half Life 2 right now (the original one, I never played it :-/)… I’m at Nova Prospekt. Can’t wait to get to Ep 1 and 2. I think I’m becoming a PC gamer…
TF2 is great and all but for being a team based game I can hardly ever get a team that works together. No one ever seems to say anything and most people just pick whatever class and run around trying to get kills. Im also tired of these damn turtle matches. I hate when both teams have 3 or 4 engineers and 1 spy or something.
for real… orange box has sucked away any desire of mine to play halo 3 right now

Actually, he hates it, but EA are doing the port for it. Its supposed to be out in about three weeks I think.
It’s alot different form the original, no nades, rocket jumps and demo jumps are still in, but… Scout is the new substitute. Maps have been adjusted a bit, and scouts can double jump. Doesn’t make up for the crazy conc jump’s from the original, but with his death dealing close range spray gun, it’s all good.
This game freezes way too much on 360.
Not as much as NHL08.
