For the record, I only started to play Engineer because I was getting terrible framerates, and couldn’t rely on reflexes anymore. It’s also the reason I was using the pistol, and not the shotgun.

Anyway here’s the thing…I’m switching to a new server soon. I’m seeing that I can get 22 or 24 slots, make it public, and pay around the same price as I did with the server I’m renting now…give or take 2 dollars.
Now…my question here for your guys is: Do I make the server public? The reason I ask this is because while it’s not a strong server, we can get more players.
So what is a reasonable slot amount for SRK? I’ve gotten some word that 16 is too small.

24 Slots are usually reasonable, as long as it’s not a 24/7 Arena server. Making it public attracts both SRK and Pubs, people in usually makes it more convenient for SRK’ers to hop in and play, long as it’s not full. That’s my general experience with running and hosting servers. ** If you have the money and time to invest in making the SRK server good, do it **. This thread is big enough that I’m sure there’s more than enough players willing to play on a pub SRK.
Or to keep it short - Yeah, go for it.
What company are you getting the server from?
It’s your server and you do what you think is best, but I personally like the small gatherings in arena/koth instead of the old 10+ per team spamfest. As far as public slots go I’d say pick somewhere between 18-24.
