I just tried TF2, got absolutely annihilated, and loved every bit of it. Creeping around the enemy base in disguise after stealthing in there put a huge ass smile on my face. So far the spy and Pyro are the only classes I’ve had any kind of luck with, though. Gonna check out the medic next time.
I just beat Portal (in what? two hours?), and it was fucking excellent. A bit too easy, sure, but the presentation was spot on. The announcer was wonderful, and the final boss’s dialogue actually made me laugh. And the turrets have the cutest voices of all time. I kept saying “Awwww” while they rolled on the floor shooting everywhere.
So both TF2 and Portal are total hits with me. Bravo, Valve. If you had an orifice, I would put my wang in it.

no, this was in quake 1 megaTF. (megaTF was a mod of TF where they added a few abilities like a jetpack for the scout, and made the nailgun have instant hitbox a la shotgun, etc).
Did TFC even have MIRVs and stick pipes and the like? I couldn’t really handle the slow pace of TFC, but it was still nostalgia to megatf.
AFAIK TFC was pretty much TF exactly but on the HL engine. TFC had MIRVs and stick pipes. Doing the demoman thing you were talking about would make people hate you.

Ha, I was just about to post something similar. As short as it was, it was probably one of the coolest games I’ve EVER played. OMFG that song… it was blissful comedy/insanity.
I won’t ruin anything either, but it is one of the greatest things ever.
Orange Box is probably the best $45 I ever spent.
Looking forward to some crazy user made Portal maps, now, back to TF2.

Just beat Portal. That was great. Nice ending, too. I’ll tackle the bonus stuff later. I need to go through HL2, HL2 ep 1 and HL2 ep 2… I’ll squeeze in some TF2, also. I love the Orange Box.

I beat Portal about 30 mins ago. I loved the ending. I’ll do some of the bonus stuff later and then download HL2: Episode Two.
