32 man servers mean next to nothing in valves game balance. TF2 is not designed for that many players, the map design and game balance truly cannot handle that number of players.

Razorback is so ass though. Spies might stay away if you’re in a big group but if they want you they’re gonna get you. Killing you with an ambassador/revolver takes around a second if they don’t have retarded aim. Not to mention Jarate is amazing.
Though Razorback is a small deterrent against a backstabbing spy, you keep on moving as a sniper, and lessen the possibility of being HS’d, then you turn around and pull a HS yourself.
While im thinkin about it, has anyone ever gotten the fuckin kill a heavy med pair with arrows? EVAR?!?
I disagree. Counter-strike is meant for serious and small team play. 5v5, even pubs and my servers i dont break 22.
TF2 is more about runnin around with a bunch of players and just owning people and having laughs. imo
I’m not saying that TF2 is meant to be a super serious 5v5 format, I’m saying its not balanced for 32 player servers. Keep in mind valve didn’t make the game support 32 players at the start, players hacked in the function, and it took valve a long time to make official support for it. The game is balanced around 18-24 players, not 32.
I can play 18-24, but i prefer the sourceOP valve maps only 32 slot. More people to own and less noobery. I went and played a lesser server after only playing op for a long time and i scoffed at how easy it was racking up kills.

Holla. SourceOP is where I started TF2 so that’s usually where my friends and I go to pub. Haven’t been there in a few weeks though. Drunken Fool is a good guy and runs a tight ship.
Also TF2 is great as a competitive a game and worth a try if you’re looking for something new out of the game. I know I recognize JAMMAR from comp TF2, sorry if I missed anyone else.

These days frag videos from good players are with nocrits, because that’s the usual competitive format. That particular video was when there was no cvar to toggle the crits.
Speaking of format, it’s pretty true that the game was not designed beyond 24 players. And speaking of crits, it is also apparent that the gameplay is more centered more toward casual, as hard as it is for me to say. There is a competitive scene which I am a part of, and really it’s not about being serious, it’s about actually using teamwork from all team members to achieve the goal. When was the last time you had a game where all of the players on your team worked together cohesively in a pub game?

yeah a nasty ass spray would probably get you temp banned but I guess it depends on the admin at the time. Unfortunately, I have sprays off anyway since I need to run a config that makes the game look like Doom due to my shit computer.
The HLSS mutes are automatic. It’s some kind of script. I’m not sure how it works but if you play something on HLSS for more than like 3 secs it auto mutes you for 30 minutes. It pretty much sucks but you can get away with a sound clip here and there.

Lucky? If you’re referring to the airshots/aerials then you’re mistaken. Reptile’s the best soldier in the world, no questions. Maybe Yaug or Seagull can hang with him, but Reptile is definitively better.
If you’re referring to the crits, that video was back when random crits were allowed in most leagues. Also, this was when the crit chance ceiling hit around 20% if you were doing enough damage fast enough.
Reptile is a beast but I don’t think you can put him above the rest so easily. Old Pandemic rolled so hard. Seagull could hang with him. So could Jaeger. Who knows, there are might be a ton of soldiers who could hang with Reptile. He was also getting TheFragile’s heals.
It’s hard to tell because so much more goes into being a good pocket. Sure, airshots look pretty but that’s a very very tiny part of it all.
