My only real complaint about playing with it over the weekend (played mostly on SamSho and SF2WW) is button feel, now in comparison with sanwa buttons, they don’t have a “smooth” engage as sanwas do. IMO they feel like a cross between sanwa and seimitsu as far as button shape and push feel. I do believe the buttons now are a upgrade over the original SE buttons though, this stick overall is a great improvement over the SE.
I agree, the stock parts on all the SE’s are crap, but still better than stock HORI. Thats not saying alot but still.
Also, I am turning the one i will use into a Wii Fightstick Advantage w/ red sanwas, with this:
think we can mod this to play on the xbox or ps3?
Looks really nice but 79.99 seems a bit pricey…I mean you still have to connect wii remote for this to work right? I think 59.99-69.99 would have been a better price range IMO. These will probably go on clearance in a short while like all the other Hori sticks…I’ll wait until then, right now i’ll just use the PS2 to gamecube adapter i bought for like $6 for All Star…
Not all fighting games support the GameCube controller though which is why they go through the Wiimote.
I remember there being an older Wii fightstick artwork/template thread, but is anyone gonna start a newer one up for these Wii TvC sticks??? :shy:

the TvC sticks are the same as the SE sticks… take your pick!
oddly enough, i like the buttons, but not the stick. The stick doesnt feel as crisp as sanwa
also, i really like the slope at the palm. i think the new hori’s have this also
Yea i get that…but that thread is SF4 TE’s and SE’s and more often then not when someone posts sticks/templates that are NOT TE’s SE’s in there they are refered to post elsewhere…just a question outta curiousity to see if there is gonna be another thread for JUST Wii FIGHTSTICKS…
Dunno about you, but I’ve seen and posted my own SE templates, including a couple that were specifically for the TvC stick in that thread.
I purchased 2 of these sticks today and gotta say that I’m liking the new parts that are in it as well as the artwork and template material. Unfortunately one of my sticks is messed up. When I press down it goes up and when I press up it goes down. Anyone have a clue as to what the problem might be? I would rather fix it myself then return and purchase a new one.
The up and down microswitchs on your stick might have been put on the wrong way round, I think you would have to unsolder them from the pcb to switch them round though so it’s probably best just to go back and switch it rather then risking messing it up.
I’m gonna suggest testing it with another stick as well to see if it’s merely the PCB or if it’s a bigger problem. That said, if you’ve got some spare change, might as well get a Sanwa TP-MA PCB.
Try flipping the connector. It may just be plugged in upside-down, or the stick may not be oriented correctly. You could open them both and compare.
Yeah, when I opened it up that seemed like the only possible thing that would cause it. Also, the square gate was insanely hard to get off.
I’ll try that out tonight since I have an extra stick lying around.
Unfortunately that’s not possible on this stick as it would probably break the connector. You’ll see if you open it up.
I installed Sanwa parts in mine, so I must be thinking of the Sanwa stick. It is possible to accidently reverse the plug on the Sanwa stick. Good luck with it.

Just opened it up and wow this is nice. Waayyyy better than a stock SE. Have yet to see how the parts perform.
