Try em out when you get the game. I’ve been playing on the stock parts for months now. I’m personally satisfied with them and a lot of the community members I had try them, liked em’ as well.
got mine today! did some bench testing, VERY NICE compared to the SE. Did anyone look where the mic jack was on the SE? You can see the remains of it from them using filler on the mold! LOL!

It’s the same with the PS3 SE and TE.
oh. I never used one on PS3.
Wow this thing is nice. Used it on Super Smash and it worked fine. Did regular attacks and smashes fine.
Now to actually break it in when TvC UaS comes out.
I am considering getting this stick for tvc, but is the stick sanwa? I know the buttons arent but what about the stick?
that first video was awesome, esp. the "OH MY GOD, I WONDER WHAT THIS COULD BE? vs. Unboxing Tatsunoko Capcom Arcade Stick video title. It looks good though!
MadCatz JLF clone with Omron D3V-16-3A5 microswitches.
d3v, now I understand your Title of "Omron microswitch!"
Laugh.
I didn’t make the connection until reading your Post just now.
Yes, Mad Catz TvC has OMRON D3V-16-3A5.
Sanwa JLF-TP-8 has OMRON V-01-3D5-A.
The Microswitch PCB Assembly of Mad Catz TvC is not TP-MA of Sanwa.
OMRON didn’t let Mad Catz use PCB that Sanwa has.
It was a happy coincidence that I decided to milk for all it’s worth.
got one of these today, i wanted to try it out on guilty gear (accent core but not accent core plus) and i couldn’t seem to get the game to recognize it. The lights on the stick would turn on when i hit buttons but nothing would happen in game and eventually the wiimote would shut itself off. Is there something im missing? Ive never used a classic controller before so idk if i need to set it up somewhere?
I can’t imagine Madcatz would go through the trouble to get omron switches and improve their component build quaility if they’re only going to use them in the Wii stick. Can we expect another SE 360 or PS3 stick in the foreseeable future?
just got my stick and i put together a little review.

i go over things like button and stick feel and the overall quality of the stick. i hope this helps anybody wanting to buy the stick. i recommend it.
also, are you guys having the same problem that i am having with the looseness of the stick? its not too big a deal, but it feels like it could be stiffer.
So the spring is loose but it get’s stiff due to the microswitches?
exactly. the spring already feels like my TE that has been through months of continuous play. the switch is super stiff though which i like. i just wish the spring was tighter. its kind of distracting going from a really loose neutral to a really stiff switch activation. maybe mine is defective? im curious.
Just swap the springs for something stiffer.
Also, what did you mean by having the B & A swtiched? AFAIK, it was always laid out as B,A (with Y,X on top) on Nintendo controllers. Or as the B registering as A and vice versa?
I think he meant that since most people would hit the first button as “A” and second button as “B” and now that its switched, he has to hit the second button for “A” instead of first. Because he mentioned in the video how he always exits the menu on accident.
Lol, I guessed as much. Having grown up on Nintendo though (I had both a NES and a Famicom) I’m pretty much used to having B as first and A as second so it’s the MS layout that actually confuses me.
haha yeah. its kind of weird. i was really used to the nintendo layout, then had to relearn for xbox. now im having trouble going back. i had the same problems when playing Final Fantasy VII for the first time ever recently. O is used to select menus and X is used to back out. now my mind just doesnt know what to think!
also, my home and turbo buttons do not light up when the controller is on and plugged into the wiimote. there are little circles around the buttons that make it seem like they should illuminate. for those of you that also have the stick…do your buttons light up?
Wii Tatsunoko VS Capcom Arcade FightStick $79.99 w/Free Shipping from Amazon
Has anyone received their TvC FightStick from Amazon yet?
I’ll probably order one from there unless a better deal suddenly comes along.
4 more days!
P.S. - Has anyone ever attempted to gut a Classic Controller and re-wire it to a Stick of any kind?
