Tatsunoko vs. Capcom stick for Wii by Madcatz confirmed

According to Capcom’s twitter page MadCatz will be producing a Tatsunoko vs. Capcom stick in time for it’s January 2010 release.

@FILTHYSAL Yes, looks like there will be a Mad Catz joystick for the Wii, just in time for Tatsunoko VS Capcom to hit shelves!”

Who knew!?

Odds are one person posting in this thread did.

Gee, I dunno who.

Wasn’t the prototype shown at one of the big shows? I thought we all knew.

Prototype was shown at San Diego Comic-Con 2009.
It was using the Mad Catz non-Tournament Edition Case.

Damn, I’d already gotten myself two Hori EX2’s for the Wii like a long time ago when Tatsunoko vs. Capcom came out in Japan. I haven’t even modded them yet but it’s unnecessary anyway since TvC doesn’t really have any strict links or anything. You can execute combos at your own pace with the exception of certain chains.

Dunno why but I find that I can play this game much better with the classic controller than I can with the Hori stick.

 you funny

isnt it an SE with tat vs cap art? does it connect to the wiimote?

Will most likely get an EXAR stick off Play Asia before I get a madcatz anything in a standard edition case. Hori sticks for Wii, are kinda meh too. Classic controller proabably is the best way to go for this game honestly. Octagon directional for the win

I actually hope it’s dual function. As in, it can plug into either the GCN port and the Wiimote like the classic controller does.

what classic controller are you looking at, my nintendo one just has a wiimote connection

The Exar stick (plain) is one of my absolute favorite looking stock sticks. I would love to mod it with some pink buttons and a stick but the shipping makes it a no go for now.

Wasn’t the general consensus on exar sticks (except maybe the royd one) that they were shit?

The general consensus in my apartment is that they look totally awesome.

Does TvC control like MvC2? Is a iL eurostick more ideal for this game?

That’s exactly what I was saying. I want the stick to be able to plug into the GCN port and the Wiimote so it can work for games that don’t use the GCN port or vice versa.

I dont remember there being any flying around like sentinal/storm or whatever, or anything that a faster “return to neutral” comment they always make about american style would apply to, but I’ve played/looked into it very little!

I’m going to put up a modded hori wii stick on the trading forum later today, if any of yall are interested.

what I’m saying is that unless they’ve changed them recently, classic controllers are not like that at all http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Classic_Controller

edit: unless you just worded that original post poorly and meant it had wiimote connectivity (like the classic controller) as well as gcn connectivity. if so my bad!
