Tatsunoko vs. Capcom stick for Wii by Madcatz confirmed

Arcade stick will be easy as pie to mod, im all in for it being an SE. I take that over trying to mod the Hori wii stick, also I really like the fact that it plugs to the wiimote I like wireless sticks, at least semi-wireless in this case.

i actually wish it was a gamecube hook up so i could use it with soul calibur 2 and sonic the fighter

As far as I know, all wii fighting games can use classic controls. But not all wii fighting games can use gcn controllers. It really wouldnt make much business sense to design a wii fightstick that didnt work with all wii fighting games.

Samurai Shodown:wasted:

So when are we going to know the price, as well as that game + stick bundle?

This might be a canada only thing for now.
I work at gstop and checked last week and today in our comp.
Nothing shows up under Video Game Acc or Wii reserve for a fightstick or fightstick bundle with TvC, 1 sku only

slap a easy wii pcb onto the te or hori stick instead

incase its not common gnd but you can use some pnp transistor to make it common gnd
courtesy to Gummowned for the common gnd mod and info on a slimmer pcb for ps3

Not gonna lie, that box is sexy(even if it is a crappy SF4 SE stick in new clothes)!!!

SF4 SE in new clothes is still the easiest option for modding with good parts.

That said, I wonder how much it would take to create something to mount the Wiimote onto the stick.

If there is going to be a bundle they are announcing it hella late. Maybe there using the extra time to upgrade that SE stick?..probly not.

I’m thinking third party rechargable battery back (or a replacement wiimote battery cover from Nintendo, if available), and some velcro would do nicely.

Damn, are you guys really going to spend $80 / $150 just to play Tatsunoko vs. Capcom? I’ve still got my two Wii Hori EX2’s which I got from GameStop, $40 a pop and they work just fine. If I want to, I can mod them with Sanwa parts but I find it unnecessary with TvC since there’s no one frame links or strict execution. Maybe for Guilty Gear XX Accent Core Plus it’d be worth it to mod but I still wouldn’t spend all that money just for a Wii arcade stick. I haven’t touched my Wii ever since the Japanese TvC became unpopular in my area.

I’m telling you guys, just get the Hori EX2 to play TvC. Unless you have a lot of extra money. In that case, go get that TE stick and play TvC all day, lol.

The Hori Fighting Stick Wii is sold out just about everywhere, and severely overpriced where it isn’t. Were you to buy the cheapest one on eBay, you would be spending $75 on it anyway…

Oh damn, if that’s the case then I would go for the Mad Catz Standard Edition stick and purchase Sanwa parts right away.

I bought my Wii Hori EX2 sticks once Tatsunoko vs. Capcom launched in Japan, that’s why I was able to get it easily and for cheap. Luckily I had a friend mod my Wii for me once that came out. There was no other reason for Americans to buy a Wii arcade stick unless they wanted to play Guilty Gear XX Accent Core at the time, lol.

Better than my idea which involved duct tape, lots of duct tape.

Then again, first thing I’m gonna do if I do get one of these is mod it to look like an old Super Famicom.

Photos are gone.

Maybe an announcement is coming very soon.

i can see where one game wouldnt justify getting an $80 stick, but there are other games to make it worth while, Guilty Gear being one of them like you said. There are also all the Neo Geo and Capcom games available on disk and Virtual Console, plus Virtual Console Arcade, which im hoping will oneday feature some of the top fighting games from Capcoms libraries

if you are lookin for hori’s wii fightstick, make sure to check the gamestop locator for it http://www.gamestop.com/Catalog/ProductDetails.aspx?product_id=66335 theres still several places near me that have it - it cant be TOO hard to find. I went to Frankfort for mine i believe.

Hell Yes! There’s three stores in my area that have these.

the Fry’s near me has a bunch for $29. check them out if you are looking for one.
