Tatsunoko vs. Capcom stick for Wii by Madcatz confirmed

What’s up with the loose stick? To me it has a lot of play before it activates any of the switches and that is the biggest difference between this stick and the sanwa. Maybe it’s just my stick but I will be replacing the stick soon. The buttons feel good almost like seimitsu buttons. I can’t complain much because I got 2 sticks for $79.99 + tax. For some reason my bestbuy store entered them as madcatz fightpads. That is why I bought 2. Now they have them priced at regular price. On a side note I am beginning to get out of hand with buying arcade sticks. Now I have 8 total. 1 HRAP EX-SE and 2 TE’s for my X360, 1 HRAP3 with all sanwa buttons and 2 TE’s for my PS3 and now 2 TvC sticks for my WII. Must get rid of 1 X360 TE and 1 PS3 TE. Who else has this problem.

Hi, I’m new to modding sticks so please bear with my noobishness. Has anyone gotten around to putting in an octagonal gate into this yet? I saw that there have been members here that have already swapped out the MC stick in favor of a Sanwa unit. Being that the Sanwa JLF and the MC stick are so similar, can i just swap in a Sanwa octagonal onto the MC stick? Or should i put in a Semitsu LS-56 with an octagonal gate since it’s supposed to have a shorter throw compared to a JLF with an octagonal gate. Thanks.

A JLF octo gate will work. Gates are slightly more difficult to remove from the MadCatz stick than the JLF; just press the prongs in harder.

The LS-56 is a completely different stick with an altogether different feel and behavior, so that’s really up to you. You need an MS mounting plate for the LS-56 to fit.

ive owned the wii hori stick and the tekken 6 stick for ps3 and xbox. i like hori parts a LOT more then my madcatz tatsunoko stick parts. they just feel way too stiff.

If you don’t like the looseness, you can simply change the spring with a Sanwa one.

Also, 8 sticks is nothing, MarkMan has 161.

Picture? Or it isnt true! lol

the stick on mine seemed to get loose quick on mine as well. wasnt really a big deal to me i had a spare jlf to throw in it .

Ask Mark.

You’re crazy, do you know how long/painful that would be? I want to do it but it’d have to be on a weekend. That is a LOT of boxes/storage.

Maybe you should do it to celebrate when you get to stick 200. 10 by 20 grid, wide angle lens. I can’t imagine the logistics of such an event. And who the hell is going to help poor markman clean up?

quick question, I was planning to swap my sanwa buttons on my TE to semitsu’s so i can use the clear ones what can fill in with pictures. Reading through this thread, people have been referring the buttons on the TvC to feel like the semitsu’s. Can some one rate the stiffness of these three buttons because i feel the TvC buttons to be bit to stiff to my liking. I would much rather love to get a feel of them before purchasing a set. any help will be appreciated.

the stick does have a bit of a dead zone before engaging, thats my only gripe. button wise i like them.

Great stick overall with just one little problem… the dead zone on the stick itself. Mine is so loose and the dead zone feels massive :frowning:

Its a shame as the buttons are pretty good and the stick body is fantastic. Looks like I will be swapping the stick out for a JLF in the near future.

Save yourself some money by just changing the spring with one from a JLF.

Hello everybody, need some advice as I am a stick noob. I purchased the TvC stick and the buttons to me are “ok” , but I absoultely hate the joystick, circle does not equal square. What options do I have?

square gates are really good. just PRACTICE (as you said, you are a “stick noob”)

or… switch with octo-gate or… i’ve seen somebody moded one of their gates into a circle @_@

Hello everyone i have a quick question What converter would you guys recomend if you want to use your ps2 sticks on your Wii console for TvsC?

Got the stick today. Loving it so far.

Stick is nice. I agree it feels different from Sanwa, but not in a bad way. I didn’t lose any inputs and the buttons are pretty good. Sure, I could swap the whole set up for sanwa parts, but that would seem to be a waste of money. I’ll only do so once the parts start dying/being finnicky on me.

Also, love the heavier weight and rough surface. Makes playing feel more accurate and solid.

just a quick heads up didnt see this posted yet but gamestop.com has tatsunoko stick in stock and with coupon code 15ACC you can take 15% off, not a bad deal and i think it ships with free value shipping. Expires 02/02/10 at 11 am CST. :pleased:

Scroll down a bit to the PS2/GC section. Mayflash makes really good stuff, and it is pretty cheap to boot.
