You don’t have any unblockable setups with those assists though unless you can somehow setup a missile unblockable. Maybe on incoming call Missiles Up Arrows Super into the unblockable *MIGHT *work. Not sure if it will work. It’s very easy to avoid Missile mixups in neutral since it gives the opponent plenty of time to react to the assist call and jump/superjump.
Tab has combos and confirms with Trish peakaboo in the team thread.
just made a quick video of tasky incoming unblockable with missiles …simplified the combo for the sake of recording the video, u can actually do the arrow relaunch from this…not to mention a little bit of damage left off from spencer’s end…should break 1 million
I’m talking about unblockables from round harvest. I just don’t know what to do with taskmaster after I set it up. Trish is the point character of this team.
Here’s a fun thing I learned during my week of trying out Tab’s team: Derpy unblockable resets. Taskmaster hits, brings them to the corner, fun stuff and all that, does down arrows hyper. DHC to scythe, tag back in, literally, enjoy the free unblockable. Watch out for wakeup invincible supers and whatnot-OH WAIT, you have a counter hyper.
I’m not sure if there’s any foolproof way of doing it on incoming/neutral for point trish, but it’s still very strong, very easy tech. Perhaps, if you have them near the corner, you could get them into a round harvest on a blockstring, DHC to counter, unblockable, pick up with peekaboo, and snap them out, do arrows hyper and doom missiles, second unblockable. That sounds really meter-spendy, but I bet TACs inserted somewhere in there would rectify that, Trish and Doom are pretty competent at that whole thing.
Point task sounds pretty great on that team, now that I think about it. You may wanna look into that. Sorry if that’s not helpful, but that’s all I got.
EDIT: Ooh, just had a thought. Have you tried the RDK unblockables? Hitting them into a knockdown and going into scythe super after dashing back? I’m not sure if there’s time to put a rawtag and swordmaster in there, but you can always check, or DHC to counter to save on time if it doesn’t work.
I found this the other day in the lab. As far as I can tell it’s just flash for most combos. Grounded H arrows into vertical super might set up into a few supers slightly better than aerial diagonal super, like Hulk’s meteor.

Here’s a video for comboing after Round Harvest with Task’s unblockable. The timing on the OTG into assist is much easier than a throw, and more assists will work. If you’re facing a mid-sized to large character, or can consistently pull off Task’s double hypers in the corner you could keep him in. It is possible to use the M version of Sword Master for the unblockable, I didn’t use it unless I needed the meter because Peekaboo makes them flip out more quickly.

I was actually just talking about this unblockable. I really love that team, and I do think Task/Trish is a match made in heaven. Actually, X-23’s assist just barely picks up off the unblockable, whereas it does not for throws, so I know exactly what you’re talking about here. Cool video.
Thanks. Trish/Task have amazing synergy for neutral game and unblockable setups.
With Trish first all you need is one hit, but with Task first you need them in the corner incoming with missiles, so it seems like Trish then Task is better for unblockables. I didn’t show the in-betweens but the 3 combos into unblockables i posted work anywhere with a bit of modification. Task needs them in the corner.
Ooh, that makes things more interesting.
Round Harvest stays out for a long time, if I cancel into sword master immediately after the tag I think that the hyper’d still be going after the first hit, extending the guardstun and not allowing the opponent to throw Task. Can’t you space it to where you’re outside of throw range, but inside headbutt range so their throw becomes a whiffed heavy?
spacing it properly is possible but a pain because round harvest shifts them around somewhat randomly.
it’s not possible to get enough advantage to be able to have the super still be active while you headbutt. if the blockstun ends while you’re in the middle of headbutt animation and they can 1f throw you before it hits. all they gotta do is mash.
this is coming from an even tighter setup, btw- (diag arrows into super, while they’re still airborne before the hard kd- much more time than just kd into harvest)
I’ve been testing it out and you’re right. Without DHCing into his counter, Task doesn’t start sword master quick enough. I also realized that any character can just alpha counter out of it if they have meter. That’s not even accounting for any invincible moves.
does anyone use task spencer? when comboing from stab into otg arrows slant shot what bnb are you guys using? seems like they fall out of the normal bnb. any tips would be helpful. I’ve just been using normal magic series but i feel like task can squeeze out a little more damage from this.
sorry i should have been more specific. i mean more so in the neutral game. i frame trap/control space a lot with sting master. So what i’m referring to is more of a raw sting master combo.
Sting->OTG arrow->Slant shot->Combo
If this is the order you’re talking about, then you can do
M,H,Swing,j.H,j.Swing,j.M,j.M,j.S,Shield Skills,S,j.M,j.H,j.Swing,j.M,j.H,j.S
Then that’s your hard knockdown and you can follow up with hypers. I didn’t test it but I think it should work midscreen.
So I think I found a reliable way to start this combo from anywhere. I’ve been messing around with this concept for about a month and can’t get the ending consistently, but the beginning of the jump loopish thing I have down.
The key is using :l: arrows instead of arrows after the regular starter for the BnB, and holding :uf: as soon as you land. The :l: arrows need to hit with Taskmaster just barely above the ground. It has worked on everyone I have tried it on, include Tron, Rocket Raccoon, and other smallish characters.
I figure I’ll share it with the forum and see if anyone can integrate this into their play.
How much damage do you get off it in comparison to his normal ultimate bnb without assist extensions? Is it possible to integrate a relaunch or do you have to go directly into sharp sting + assist extensions? I’ll test it when I can get on my PS3 later.
