Taskmaster combos - Anything you can do I can do better!

I’m having issues with the above combo…which sucks because it doesn’t look too difficult. Every time I try it, the opponent is too high during the second relaunch and I can’t finish off the combo. I swear I’m delaying the first launch, air H, and arrows.

Could the problem be that I’m not hitting the initial sj M fast enough? Also when you get to the second b. H can your opponent still be a little bit above you? The one time I fluked out this combo, the opponent was still above me at that point…but I delayed the launcher long enough that they got a little closer to the ground. Is that the correct way of doing it?

Yes, this is the same combo someone else just asked about. You have to do the first sj :m: as low to the ground as possible, so as early as possible. It’s almost sudden after the launch.

So whats tasks general strategy?
I zone when I can but sometimes I need to rush down.

-Whats his best jump in

Sorry if this has been mentioned before, but I was messing around in training room and may have stumbled upon something:

Full Taskmaster combo into straight down hyper (diagonal if not in the corner), DHC into Trish’s Round Harvest (it doesn’t combo, but opponent is forced to block as soon as he/she stands up). Hard tag in Taskmaster, perform unblockable combo.

My execution is lousy and not consistent (double check me), but I think this will be equal about 1.18millionish damage (plus round harvest chip damage). It uses three meters (Task hyper from bnb, Trish Round Harvest, Task unblockable combo into hyper). I’m pretty certain you can get the first hit of the unblockable setup off while the opponent is still blocking Round Harvest, making it a pretty much guaranteed reset. Once again, sorry if this was already known.

Don’t worry it’s always good to share your tech and it’s cool you found it on your own but yeah there are plenty of those so you can do it with more than just task and trish. Another one would be to have skrull use tenderizer assist to lockdown your opponent and with firebrand use his charging move (which is unblockable if you charge it long enough like focus attacks from street fighter) and if you time it right, right when they escape firebrand will hit them and you can combo after words, snap them in and do it again.

they can raw tag out of this so make sure you practice your confirms off that when they do. up arrows-> shield charge since the round harvest will bring them up but not in a consistent manner.

Yeah…I can’t do this combo. Sometimes the arrows won’t hit. Even if I delay and they do, they are not in the right height for the St. H after I land. Any suggestions?

When you launch you opponent try using :l: instead of :m: after the first :s:, that way you make the combo land 100% of the time, although you suffer from a loss of about 12-15k in damage and about 5% less overall meter gain.

After you get used to using the j.:l:, try practicing to land it with the j:m: and the results will be better!

The combo is pretty easy in corner but midscreen its gets a bit harder after the H into arrows and get them because you have to be really low.

Don’t be afraid to drop the st. H after the arrows. Shield skills has huge vertical coverage and will still probably hit. In fact, using the j. M version without the st. H does more damage than the j. L version with the st. H. The only thing you sacrifice is meter. That’s why the st. H is optional.

There are characters I don’t think the st. H hits anyway. Can’t remember.

Thanks guys, your input helped me realize my biggest problem, which was the delay before the launcher. I knew it’s clearly stated that you have to wait, but I never really did it. Somehow, trying all the stuff you guys said made me aware that the delay was very much needed.

Thanks for clearing that up. Like I said, I couldn’t remember.

(I’m talking about in the corner btw.)

Give them time to fall a bit more and you’ll keep them in the corner.
