I LOVE Toodles MC board. Repeat LOVE it. I didn’t say anything negative. I think Toodles products are ace. But… sorry I have to give the original credit out of loyalty and the fact the maker was so generous when taking feedback from a smaller forum.

If you spent 2 min’s reading the post you would know that a simalar product has been discussed there are even pictures of it in this very thread and I have always recommend SLG3000 to people who are looking for one right now
You don’t see Toodles or others going to threads saying “This has all ready been done.” to them for making a multi console PCB even though he has had a similar design for years that does the exact same thing

Competition is good and causes evolution of products in directions most people don’t think of.

You were (whether you realize it or not) trolling on Toodles work. It was tantamount to saying that he shouldn’t even do this since Jochen already has his own.

Well, on the bright note, it has helped fuel my drive. I’ve got one working with a Dreamcast VGA box at the moment, and will play around with that upscaler and check everything through an Oscope tomorrow. So, progress is being made. Like RosserRooster, I too have to have the power come from the vsync, which is beyond weird based on the signal descriptions I saw previously. Maybe things will make more sense under a scope.
And I’d just like to say, Im tickled the three way slider worked they way I wanted. Silly, I know, but it’s cool to me that my presumptions of how the circuit worked were right, and adding an ‘off’ switch was that easy.

The SLG is great! ArcadeForge has some quality kit available (I have a SyncStrike, and it’s fantastic), but this is about having an alternative product available. Do you think MadCatz gets all butt-hurt and weepy whenever Hori comes out with a new stick?

I never did receive the scat cable I mean scart cable from electric quarter on ebay, that store is garbage. I had to file a complaint to get my money back. I emailed them a million times and nothing, anyway I ended up making one out of my s-video cable thats working great it it may not look pretty but it works well. I’m, just pissed I can’t compare graphics between S-video and scaled RGB

So, seriously, WTF is up with the people on Shmups being jerks about this? Strider77/StriderNC obviously isn’t aware of the snippy trolling overtone present in his post, but it was there. Getting infracted by Dev isn’t the end of the world, y’know? As Dev said: Tech Talk holds itself to a higher standard. That is why it’s the only section of SRK I ever visit.

ehm, youre mistaken. For me the word copycat is not negative. Im sure that Toodles takes a quick look over the SLG Scart and if he likes it he might get inspired by some ideas and perhaps optimize it. Honestly, Ive got inspired by Toodles when I was aware of his work about the UPCB. He was sharing all this great stuff. And then Ive done my copycat Dual Strike, which summarizes Imp and Cuthulu. We set it to open source, too. After that some great project like TEasy, TEasy Strike, Dual Strike SMD came up. All this projects are public here and not protected somehow. As I said before, it`s good that there are alternatives. So again, let it stop here, the was no insult about the product quality or in any case.
I’m sorry, but most of the comments are directed towards StriderNC’s post which just comes out wrong in the context of the thread.
I mean look at it:
The tone basically says that Toodles stuff isn’t worth the time and either he should just give up and/or people shouldn’t buy it.
