T-SLG (Toodles Scanline Generator) Authentic retro look from your modern flatscreen

It looks like the chips are not in the right place, the 125 should be in the middle and it looks like it is on top in the third picture.

I tried using JP1 and JP2 jumpers as well as swapping the chips. Same situation with swapping chips, although it makes the RGB effects be in reverse. With JP1 and JP2, it is the same as having the RGB shield turned all the way up. At this point I think something is defective, so I’m going to see if Toodles will swap out the unit. Thanks for the attempts everybody.

MasaQueen is correct, the chips aren’t in the right spot. Correct that and test again.
No, I will not be swapping either of the boards out.
I have also been responding to all of your posts in a fairly quick manner. Please do not email or PM me with support problems. I read your messages, and reading them two to three times each must end.

You’re doing something wrong. Probably damaged the chips with too much heat or something. Just buy another set and be patient when doing the job. No need to rush.

are the kits still scheduled for this wednesday. looking forward to getting a couple

Yup. All the parts are here, just waiting on monkey to come bag them.

I’ve had mine all assembled for a few weeks now but I’m in the middle of a move so I haven’t had a chance to order a VGA gender changer to test it out :frowning:

Labor is pretty cheap when you can pay your workers in bananas!

They’re back up on the site for sale.

Excellent. Any ETA on assembled versions?

I received my kit and soldered it together last night. It works great! Thanks!

Just wanted to say this thing is awesome with my STGs. Just a question, I rotate my 24" for STG play, but I noticed the scanlines are now vertical. Is there a trick or a way to make the lines horizontal again? Looks nice anyways, especially setting the X360 to 1024x768, but I was just curious.

Time to find a project box to fit this thing!

Pretty sure scanlines on vertical games are also vertical; the video signals are the same, the only difference is the screen is rotated.

Well I feel sheepish  Shows how long it’s been since I’ve played an actual vert arcade cab! Makes sense though. Thanks for an awesome product!

I need this. Like… Now. Make assembled ones. I will give you my money. I promise.

Doing my best. But I did get word that the potentiometers for the RGB adjustment are going to delay things while they get made; we’re looking at 2 months lead time on those parts for the asssembled ones. You’d think it’s something they’d point out BEFORE ordering, but I guess not :frowning:

2 months without scanlines? I’ll survive. Make it right, it’s better than making it fast.

You tried ACK electronics for the parts? They’re out here in Atl, like me.

Hey! I am just wondering, what are the partnumbers for the 4 diodes used in v1,6? Since its sold out and i have all the parts exept the diodes, I thought i would do one myself  could anyone give me the info abou the 4 diodes? thanks in advance!

They N5817’s, a favorite of mine.
