dude lives in jp, think hes on these forums…

under hardware, sigma raijin, sigma av7000. won’t be cheap though. but great superguns…

or theres neo geo forums, pretty sure theres a few custom sg builders there

contact a member here named “DeepThoughts” he makes super guns out of a PS1.

again, Jojoultimate on ebay sells a cheap supergun. Just search supergun and it should come up. He posts at different prices, sometimes as low as 160 and as high as 300. But message him, and he would be willing to sell you toward the lower end of the price range.

so what happened to that supergun undammed was designing?

He’s apparently still working on it.

Right now there’s two ST boards on ebay, US and World version.

and

Wish I had the money to buy one of those, but to anyone else looking now’s the chance. These things pop up once a lunar eclipse

Ships to: United States. :frowning:

If one of you fools just last minute outbid me on ebay… I hate you.

i got the US one. did you want one? i have some green boards i can live without. i think its safe to say $250 is the going rate for an ST board

A + B?

Wow. If I wasn’t so caught up in getting my 2X set up working and it’s popularity in gatherings I would have bid on the world version… for o. gief’s magic SPD.

Not that it really matters much, but does your set-up use the Neo-Geo/Laugh converter pinout?

It’s similar, not exact. I had to do the Med/High kicks myself (weren’t mapped in the neo geo AES pinout, but are on the laugh pinout). But I accidentily switched them when doing it (medium kick is high kick, high is medium). Both Toodle’s converters (the ones I use) and Laugh’s have button remapping now. So, really, It doesn’t matter. Why do you ask?

Are you in the Toronto Area? Gonna come down for some games?

Los Angeles, actually. Mostly curious 'cause people ask me about superguns.

Any one used this site? Few ST boards there

Looks reasonably priced. If you do use them, please let us know how it turns out.

Na I don’t need another board. Just chucking it out there for people looking for them.

Hey I have a question. I heard that that supergun doesn’t let you input certain motions. Someone told me that the raging demon won’t come put on this supergun for some reason, is that true? Also does the power supply it comes with not power boards properly? I ask because I just bought one and I am pretty worried about that.

-Thanks

I play Super Street fighter 2 x, and gouki is 1. banned, and 2. doesn’t have his demon grab, so I can’t tell you about that 100%, but I’ve had no problems at all with the supergun reading inputs. All reversals come out smoothly, and people love hitting combos on the SG over xbox360 HDR (offline as well) and GGPO.

I see no reason why a raging demon input won’t come out on this supergun… The power supply works, I don’t know what you mean by “properly” I think I read somewhere if you don’t choose the right power supply there may be a slight variation, but nothing that you should worry about… I run SSF2X on the board with the included power supply just fine… and almost everything about jamma is standardised so it should work with most boards. what system and game are you trying to run?

The last thing you should know is that start and mk are the same button, so if your game has a taunt and the Option select for taunt and mk is the taunt, then you’ll need to rewire those 2 wires. (player 1 and player 2) I rewired anyway because in the future I plan to get some of the vs and alpha series…

hmm. from the amount of time trying to get my supergun working as intended and fixing all the problems that have come up since then. I’m confident enough to build my own supergun… I already have one now. so I wouldn’t build one for myself… But I’ve been doing the math on the parts, and time required and I think might be able to make a supergun pretty affordable. My design is half inspired by the Madcatz TE fightstick. (the other half is my inability to solder anything and not have it fall apart) It would be done with screw terminals and wire harnesses, so everything would be easy to modify if my design doesn’t work as you would intend it to. (heck it’d be so simple, I’d do it for you)

The problem is I don’t have a case pretty enough to put the thing together in… (like papasi said, that really is the hardest part…)

Would anybody be interested in purchasing a supergun like this at all?

It would be made to order, and I’d order the parts to each order as well, so it would take a bit longer to complete and ship than A regular online purchase would.

But hey, you’ve essentially got a custom made easily modifiable, ultra adaptable supergun…

I’ll only take the first few orders from people who are local/ have good ebay buyer feedback/personal referrals/ have good Xentrader feedback (the SRK one) so I don’t get hit with a major loss I have to eat up before I’ve made any money… Afterwards I’ll open it up to everyone.

If no one wants to order without seeing a working prototype first You’ll all have to wait till next summer. Again, the costs of getting my current supergun working to my needs and the repair hurts quite a bit. and I don’t want to put so much time and money to a 2nd one which I have no use for at this time…

I may push it earlier if interest for this explodes or something. Which I’m really not expecting. but hey. anything can happen.
