help very much appreciated as i have little experience and im only 15 --
Just tell him to add one when he builds it.
i was just wondering as i was looking to purchase one that was premade without a kick harness.
I can build you one better with slots for kickharness for less: $225 + shipping. shipping should be $10-$30 depending on where oyu are in the US.
Check my signature for details. (click on No Solder Supergun) PM me your zip code for more precise shipping cost.
Also, because mine is based off of screw terminals and quick disconnects, replacements, and customizations will be easy. I’ll even do some for you at no extra charge except for cost of materials and parts.
make your choice of Video/audio connections.
Unlike the ebay listing, I do not require to pay it all upfront. (none up front, $50 on cancellation, full charge when I ship)
Finally I’ll offer you support for making repairs/modifications afterward should you choose to. (mine includes a connection for a kick harness so you don’t need to do it yourself)
Have you paid/bought the supergun yet? If not hit up that guy /\ if you already have it it’s really just opening it up and soldering the harness to the right pins on the controller connectors.
thanks for all the help, im australia though haha.
i havent brought the supergun yet, but i found someone selling one that was already made.
Any updates? want to buy one, hopefully u can sell them soon
So it looks like there’s an Arduino USB host shield available (http://www.circuitsathome.com/arduino_usb_host_shield_projects). Has anyone played around with these? It looks like it’d be fairly trivial–granted, i’m a programmer–to accept signal from a ps3/xbox usb stick/pad and then punch it out over serial into the supergun, maybe with a little LCD panel and a “program” button to map your stick’s outputs to lk,mk,etc JAMMA inputs. Just wondering if anyone’s already given it a thumbs down due to sample-rate latency or something.
Yeah, been working on some stuff. Update soon
Yeah, definitely nice for the hobbyists. Just polishing the layout on my non-arduino stand-alone PS3/X360 USB host. Easy to wire up (screw terminals), very compact (less than 2" square), etc. Got a few beta testers in line

I’m looking to get my Street fighter alpha 3 blue board phoenixed and was wondering if anybody here does or knows of someone that does this? I’m in the So. Cal area but i can do shipping if that will get this done. Thanks in advance.
thank you for staying on topic.

I don’t know a damn thing about techie stuff, but would this have any practical use in a supergun setup? I notice it’s interface can be used with MAME.
Negative, it’s an open source MC Cthulhu like device.

that’s quite interesting… It may be easier to use that rather than an MC Cthulhu inside an arcade stick… The only problem I see is that it won’t support older consoles without USB ports.
There’s about 7 ST boards for sale o. Ebay right now. Very cheap prices… The amount for sale (usually its 0-1 at a time ) and price they’re set at makes me really suspicious. Search cps2 and go to international sellers and you should see it. I would post direct links but im on my playbook right now and getting urls from bookmarks are a huge hassle. When i get on my desktop tonight ill post direct links.
After looking through it again, it’s shipping from japan. and it’s only the B board. so the price checks out I guess…
The other listing I found was for HSF2.
Careful with this one. Remember: HSF boards are VERY rare and MUCH more easily bootlegged than SSF2X boards.
The sticker is dfferent from the last one I saw (which was a bootleg)
that’s that stv dude with the ssf2x boards they would all be legit price is okay by eBay standards, just don’t buy any complete kits off him lol
I wouldn’t be too surprised if more ST boards start coming out of Japan, as far as cps2 titles go they’re actually pretty common.
Whos stv?
STV is a reseller who buys from Yahoo Japan Auctions and arcade shops over there in Japan, and then sells them to international buyers at inflated prices. I get the whole “its a business” argument, but the more support he gets, the higher the prices for the big name games will be. He is basically a middleman with a lot of cash, so he’s able to outbid most people on YAJ (where the prices are very reasonable) and then turn things around for a nice profit.
So yes, his prices are decent as far as ebay prices go, but he’s buying 2X for half of what he’s selling it for. You’d be much better off using Rinkya or a small-time proxy in Japan where you’ll be able to get more of that savings.
There’s a thread over on shmups about the whole debacle: http://shmups.system11.org/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=3840&start=330
Yeah, the reselling isn’t what I have the problem with, more the mixing and matching of boxes and things to make complete kits, including swapping stickers etc. Dishonest as fuck collectors pay ridiculous amounts for that stuff to be 100% of and complete, not frankenkits lol
i wish this case could support ps2 input and coin/service buttons in addition to 1p & 2p start
