Super Smash Bros. Brawl - Wii are very amused

While unlikely, it’s not entirely out of the question. Rare is developing the upcoming Diddy Kong Racing for the DS.

… I don’t get it either, but I’m not complaining.

There’s a big difference between developing a game for another company’s handheld when you’re not in the handheld market, and lending out one of your recognizable characters to the biggest game on a console that’s going to be in direct competition with yours. I seriously doubt MS would do anything to help Nintendo move Wiis off the shelves.

…seriously.

Hasn’t it sort of been like that since the N64 version?

OMG OMG OMG OMG!!! Look at the first suggestion today, last paragraph, is that a request for, gasp Simon of Castlevania and possibly a Castlevania stage???

HELL YES!!! CAPTAIN N TEAM UNITE!!!

Course I’m not sure, online translators are funny sometimes… gosh darn it when will I get my Star Trek universal translator gizmo…

Hence, the unlikely

If Konami were to provide any other character it would have to be a Belmont (or any Castlevania character, for that matter), heh. He’s one character I’d really like to show up.

HELL YES SIMON BELMONT IS BEING CONSIDERED!!!

Special thanks to LostArtofRock of Gamefaqs since I’m just copying and pasting his post -

HAMMER BROS. FOR THE WIN.

So it was that Nintendo’s Shigeru Miyamoto introduced me to a “particular team” that had just completed a large-scale game.

Until the day comes when I can announce the team’s name, I shall simply refer to them as “The Studio.”

"Let’s do it. Let’s definitely do it!"
The words of The Studio’s executive were very simple.

I was surprised when I saw the GameCube controllers they were using. The coating on the analog stick was worn down like an old eraser…
“Our guys have played Smash Bros. more than 10,000 times!”

It had to be a lie.
But when I saw their battle records, it showed a terrible number of matches that were not fabricated.

This was the result of years of uninterrupted playing of Smash Bros. during lunch breaks. There are often cases where your team doesn’t understand the content of the game you’re making, but that wouldn’t be a concern this time.

It was promising.
This had to have been fate.
So, with the members of The Studio as our core, we dramatically increased our staff members.

Man that is awesome. Smash Brothers Brawl is going to be the best damn game ever created.

SONIC UH HUH !!!

Nintendo and Sega joined forces to give us F-Zero GX, so I say they should team up AGAIN to put Sonic in this bitch!

This is Semi, BTW (FB’s PC is a bastard for not remembering my logins)…

Can we get PEPSI MAN in Super Smash Bros. Brawl?

Only if the Kool-aid man be his tag team partner.

Yeah, sorta. But now it’s like the Number 1 reason to get the Nintendo, forget about the rest of the franchises, I think Smash could sell the Nintendo on it’s own.

EDIT FROM SANO: I added Ridley because Smashboards.com is ignoring him for a very lame reason when he was voted on by the same person who asked for King Dedede and Sigurd who are on the list… still don’t know what’s up with the Ouendan, Takao and Dr. Pepper neglect…

ouendan ???

OSU !!~~

I requested Captain N by typing Captain N in English, sent a a movie of the cartoon intro, google images of his cartoon and his Wikipedia article. Such a suggestion definitly won’t make the comment board but I’m hoping they decide to look into it… (sano shrugs…)

re: “Takao”

The post referring to a “Takao” on the SSBB suggestion feedback site is #34. I’m a Level 1 Japanese language scrub. However, the Kanji for the name Takao, according to Babelfish is “??.” [Shift-JIS your browser to see that, maybe.] Yet, also according to some kanji site I just looked up, that’s the word “kousei,” and can be read as “Takao.” Kousei means a high school student. The translation of the first sentence I got from Excite Japan’s engine was different.

"Nice to meet you when the 64th edition is put, Smabra is a high school girl who becomes eight years. "

I think the point of that entry was that the poster was in high school when she first played SSB, and she loved it. Not sure about the eight years bit, as it’s only been seven years since SSB came out. She then goes on to talk about how she played Kirby until she learned about Marth and how she bought a Fire Emblem manga thanks to his Melee appearence, or something.

How 'bout some of these 3rd. party characters:

Crash Bandicoot
Vectorman
Mickey Mouse(Fantasia version)
ToeJam & Earl
Count Chocula

Bonus Character
Pillsbury Doughboy

Super Hidden Boss
Dr. Wily

I doubt we’re gonna see Crash :expressionless:

They’re probably gonna use characters that they give two craps about in Japan, you know? Third party characters, I’d predict to be possibilities are Mega Man and Sonic (of course) and maybe other characters related to them (Bass? Protoman? Knuckles? Shadow?), characters I think there’s an off chance of seeing are some of the RE leads. Chris, Jill, Billy, Rebecca, or Leon would be a good addition, IMO. Like somebody else said, Viewtiful Joe. Soma from Castlevania. Maybe the schizo from Killer 7. Vyse from Skies of Arcadia. They’d be cool.

Some first-party possibilities are Waluigi, some of the Hunters from Metroid Prime Hunters, Wind Waker Link, and pretty much everyone you guys said :stuck_out_tongue:

Personally, I want more Fire Emblem characters most of all.
