I’ve had Vanilla since day 2 release, but never played it ‘seriously’ until last night. Game is way too much. Picking up Ultimate later this week.
But anyway, I was screwing around with Skrull yesterday and found that I really love his style.
I enjoy fighting with him on the ground, and was wondering if there are any good assists that will keep my opponent mostly grounded in fear of it. I pair him with Deadpool because of his Katana OTG assist, looking for a third guy. When I get Ultimate I was thinking of adding G Rider or Nemesis. Bad call or alright one?
TBH using Deadpool assist for Skrull is not really a good idea since skrull has plenty otg’s and most of them use up the ground bounce, but back to topic:
Frank Cart assist, Ammy’s Cold Star, Iron-Man Unibeam, Sent Drones are some examples of assists that keep people grounded on hit or block.
Adding Ghost Rider is bad idea, Nemesis… uhh bad idea? Don’t know how you can implement those 3 together, but for sure GR is a bad choice for this kind of team.
Not what I was hoping to hear, but I thank you for your answer. I guess I’ll try to make it work for a while, but if I see that it is in fact ass, then I’ll move on. I just want G Rider’s theme blasting when I’m leaving skidmarks on people.
What’s the most reliable way to extend skrulls combo after an air series with pile bunker?..doing the air series then doing an immediate air dash, landing then doing an air dash, or landing then dashing then jumping to pile bunker?
Also posted this in the video thread but I realized it makes more sense here. Can Super Skrull deal 600,000 damage from a grab with one meter, no assists, and no X-Factor? I’m sure it’s possible, but now I’m only getting to 578,000. This video should hopefully inspire you to find some new technology. Ideas?
In hindsight I’m getting 610,500 airgrab, stonesmite, stonedunk, rollinghook, stonesmite, crH, S, j.S, meteor smash, inferno, I’m curious how you get there though if it isn’t the same way.
Sweet, I was just about to record that, haha. It’s pretty simple stuff, not tough execution, should become standard technology for all Skrull players. There’s another combo that I’ll post later that does a little less damage but builds more meter.
I was having trouble for the longest with the whole “5H + 7S + rolling hook”, thank you for simplifying it. I kept doing a double dash, or a dash to elastic fist neutral or diagonal or a plain out sit stall.
@Topic
Are there any great reasons for using evil stream over inferno? I mean other than blocking assists/ bullet hell, xfactor combos, or killing green creatures?
this might be the all-time noobiest question of all time. but ive never really played with superskrull and have never really played one to learn the character at all… but I wanna try him out. my question is tho… how do you play superskrull? random meteor strike your opponent to death? air dash to d.H with assist to cover you? how should I approach him?
Well after getting some tips from some of the more advanced skrulls I’ve played around with elastic arms and grab resets on ground but my all time favorite is rolling buckler confirms. When I jump I charge s
The first mistake is thinking Meteor Smash is your best option. MS is very unsafe and needs good spacing to make it not so obvious that you’re going behind them.
Some ways to deal with situations:
Frame traps with light, rolling hook when they are full screen, orbital grudge when they rush down, jump>Call assist>Air Dash for the ambiguous incoming and midscreen crossup
I wouldn’t be doing any “free” meteor smashes. thor/ss/sent is my team. sent with drones. before I do any approach with ss I would call drones making any attempts to punish a bit more risky. and safe for me. I never said MS is my best option it was just a joke to go along with me saying “this might be the noobiest…” but I get your point all the same
