Awesome, I updated the first post. I’ll play them later tonight after Rocket League.

I just got an 8BitDo Gbros adapter today (thanks to the recommendations from @Darksakul and @Radiantsilvergun3)

I guess the most popular application is to use GCN controllers with your Switch for Smash, but it’s also compatible with NES and SNES mini controllers. So I tried Mario Maker out with the SNES controller and the game just became much more enjoyable for me. No more phantom inputs from the janky Pro controller D pad!

The only negative is that I need to switch back to the PRO controller if I’m in the level editor, as there are no sticks on the SNES controller. But I prefer to create in portable mode anyway, so no big deal.

8BitDo also makes a SNES-type controller with analog sticks positioned under the D pad and face buttons, and I’ve heard mostly positive things about them. Might look into that as an option down the road.

And they also make a Bluetooth dongle that’s compatible with the Wii U pro controller AND the DS4. Using my PlayStation 4 controller for Mario would feel so wrong, but at the same time, it would feel so great!

Random UX design gripe. I hate how ‘search’ does not feature a search function, but instead is a series of filters. Other than that the game is great.

Ceave is the Super Mario Maker hero we don’t deserve.

Uploaded the first in my series of special courses.

Started out as an underground level and nearly stayed that way to completion. I thought the desert theme might give it a bit more pizzazz and I feel that it does. That and the Desert music in SMB both in gameplay and maker mode is awesome.

I personally don’t feel this level is super difficult but I really, really like how this turned out. It was heavily inspired by World 8 in SMB but I put my own spin on things. I’ve come to see the potential in slopes in SMB even though you can’t slide on them. I doubt you guys will have a hard time clearing it but I’m looking forward to seeing how well other players fare.

You know whats missing, the enemies.
And don’t do the normal goombas, put in the Buzzy Beetles that appear instead when you beat the game though once already.

So Desert Dash is my most popular SMM2 level right now. Profound happiness.

Yo, the Key Coins are really pink? Suckers look red AF.

They look more red than pink to me

I’m really liking Endless Challenge. Unlimited Mario levels, and a lot of them are awesome! The aesthetics of the over world journey thing happening between levels makes every new attempt feel like a brand new Super Mario Bros. game. The SMW over world theme is a nice touch.

Forgot to get a stylus for Mario Marker 2.
Will any generic one work?
