Here is a video with some good advice for how to get your level played.

So apparently Nintendo changed how levels are submitted to the Endless pool from how they were submitted to the 100 Mario Challenge in MM1. Your level will not be included in Endless unless it has been played and liked at least once. Which presents a problem with new levels stacking up and not being played organically, but helps a lot with decreasing the amount of hot garbage when playing Endless.

Luckily, we have each other here to check out our levels, so that’s a huge help to get our stuff in the Endless pool. That video gives some good pointers on how to get people to play your levels more, whether it be via streamers or dedicated Level Swap forums.

I’ve been working on a new level over the weekend, but I’ve been pretty busy with birthday parties and the 4th so it’s taking me a while to get right. I’m hoping to have it completed this week sometime. It’s about an alien ant invasion 3DW style, where ants have landed and are stealing all the gold. You’ll have to board their ship and kill their leader!

I was working on my alien ant invasion level, and then played some story mode after saving it. Then when I went back to work on the level I got a message that said “Corrupted data was found so the course has been deleted,” and now it’s completely gone. WTF! :rage:

Oh well, back to the drawing board I guess :unamused:

This guy is the Albert Einstein of Mario Maker concepts.

Wow that is super interesting.

Just played it.

“MEH” is how I felt afterwards.

I never had a Wii U but I had played MM a few times on my buddies, but I’m blown away by the quality of the levels that people put out. There are so many clever levels out there that I’ve played today and I wonder how much time people spend on them. My favorites now are puzzle and speed runs. And then I just think how the hell did these guys make these?

Little Big Planet was nuts too. The amount of crazy stuff people made in them was amazing.
