you guys are really talented. i have a lot of sketches i do daily…but i didn’t really see this thread(i got my own and mostly hang around that). i’ma start posting here more. i should have some sketches posted today.
Hooray, this is my first post in this thread
My first pic is Akuma, naturally I had trouble with the prespective on his right hand. Oh well. Im gonna color it in photoshop and probably shade it later.
Im the narcissist… I am GOD!
Well at least that’s what Urien would say. Im having trouble with the left leg, so I 86 it. Ideas are truely welcomed.
Look at my butt bitches!
here’s some of my stuff… i did this during english class…
atomsam neat stuff on Kyo …i like that simple sketch- the inside on his pant leg, seems a little faint but its a sketch nonetheless…
Yea, lately ive been hitting a block on Drawing “proper looking hands” Damn…Im gonna sketch some Hands and post here, Ill keep the actual finished illustrations outside though…I Love all the talent here and appreciate the Harshest of Critiques the most,
Guys,
there is nothing like someone telling you that you suck after running into SO many who dont sketch and dont know anything much about Art ,telling me that im good Blah blah, then getting blown out of the water by all the sketch artists in Animation/illustration class…A reality check indeed, and if it wernt for the Hard Criticism, to this day I wouldnt have improved much, if Any at all.:wtf: …
very very true!!! same goes for me, my life drawing teacher never holds back, if it’s crap she’ll tell u it’s crap, and i thank her for that, i’ve never done life drawing until i took her class and when i go back and look at my work, and see the stuff i’m doing now, i freakin grown a lot!!!, and i know i still need to keep praticing, anyways keep those sketches coming!!
top o’ the mornin’ ta ya!
no one has entered sketches in a while so i think i will submit my own.
this is a sketch of my professor. dont laugh. i swear thats how he looks.
wow nice sketch, ur not only good with fanart but great in life drawing i need to draw a lot more, this thread has been dead lately
top o’ the mornin’ ta ya!
ZenMaster you da man. LOL LOL to be quite honest with you I Believe you the same stuff I do with my teachers/professors when I was in school as well I was bored and layed out a sketch or two of them …Nice work you got there Zen.
This old sketch of mine again from 1998, well it was this college professors creation he was pretty high of himself at creating his own characters-we hated this dude with a passion-the damn thing looked like the “Monstars” space jam" … Basically we had to draw A simple character for admission into an Animation program and make him Happy,Sad, angry…etc…after many renditions at tryin to get him perfect we had to select our best versions of each expression Cutting and pasting, then submit…Looking back at it, im thinking on doing the same with a character from Capcom as well-
By the way anyone check out the Onimusha 3 yet?
yeah i am glad you guys like the little drawing. i have lots and lots more sketches of professors and stuff that i do in class. maybe that should the theme for this forum for the next few weeks:
DRAW A PERSON FROM LIFE. PICTURES COULD ALSO BE DEPICTED FROM PHOTOGRAPHS. HOWEVER, DO NOT DRAW PICTURES FROM ILLUSTRATIONS.
yeah so that’ll be the rule.
sounds cool zen, just don’t laugh at my life drawings:lol: they tend to look cartoony and not life like at all…but hey i’m trying
I dont believe anyone here is gonna laugh at all man, Im not here to laugh, Argue,Troll, Bicker /Trade Insults-Total waste of time… if someone wants to improve thats the worst thing that someone can do IMHO…
everyone starts out from somewhere , and It all depends on the individual on how seriously they want to take this subject or can be applied for anything in that matter you know what ? i have some old sketches of KOF characters I did in 1995 these were before i took life drawing…its been a while but with practice life drawing has helped my progress ALOT…Looking back on it has made me laugh out loud at myself.
Good sketches guys. Zen yeah everyone sketches their instructor one way or another.
Gunstar I can tell thats old because your new stuff has better anatomy and flow. Yeah life drawing is the key to learning anatomy. Guys like Rob Liefield will never get it.
My upcoming piece Im gonna do. Can you figure out who they are. Heh just joking it’s so obvious. I go through like 5 of these before I am happy with the pose and composition.
I really wanna do an akuma one, but the fight sequence is a bitch to figure out. I really want him fighting Cammy because his red hair and greyed out gi will look good with her aqua clothing. Anyways here it is.
SFMC, I understand Totally where you are coming from, Ive attempted fight sequences in the past as well- the compositon part is where I run into some problems and errors with, and I search around for other examples of how I can Compose a decent fight scene-
That Sketch is taking shape nicely, Birdie…lol I dont see enough of him drawn at all, as well as some of the less popular characters- eg: Adon, Sodom, even SFA3 CODY. That chain Birdie swings to grapple and batter his opponents to the ground is too cool especially when I watch that move Animated…SFA3 had them “in your face winning poses” - they were simply Bad Ass IMHO, I love that different perspective style-
Speaking of fighting and the action,
LoL- I think I was one of the few guys who Played Capcom’s X-Men and the numerous sequels(also SF3) mostly for the silk smooth animation. - I really like "Capcom’s take on how them X-men Characters SHOULD properly look and Fight- with SF4 around the corner, (so the rumours go around) I wonder how they will animate the new SF characters again…
top o’ the mornin’ ta ya!
damn that’s really good dude… have ya ever taken life drawing in school?
student sketch
yea Guys… a quick sketch of this art student in life drawing class, once in a while I get bored, and sketch the other art students for fun, I dont know about you guys, but sometimes I get a persons likeness and certain features, and sketch their portrait in a different view or something- the 3/4 view looks kinda flat I found afterwards though:wtf:
Also a quick sketch done for a friend at school(it is not good as yours)
gunstar: excellent sketch. now i know what you meant when you said that you do realistic/cartoony sketches. i dont think it matters if you do a cartoony sketch where you exaggerate on certain features (the method used in political cartoons) just as long as you can get the expression of the character, which you nailed perfectly. i can almost imagine how the guy looks and how he was feeling from looking at this sketch. also, is this one of your recent pics? it looks much cleaner than the ryu pic you originally posted earlier.
sfmc: please dont enter any more streetfighter art contests; you won once already, please give chances for the rest of us! hehehe jus jokin. no i am glad to have some friendly competition from you anyday. i have already picked out a couple of poses for the next contest.
loveless: well, i had very little training in drawing still life (and it shows). but taking classes really helps out. though i still have problems trying to clean the pencil sketches at times.
Tenten nice doodle, but maybe make the shoes a little bigger since it is from a bottom like worms eye view.
Zen this pic is just for kicks, as I am not entering anymore contests. I just like street fighter that much. Good luck on the next one man because I know that a bunch of srkers are gonna enter. I kinda lucked out by a bunch of you guys not entering the first one.
