I would hope that you would man the fuck up, realize that you fucked up initially, you fucked up again and a different mod handled it mediocrely, and then I did the right thing by giving you a time-out. The only point you can hang your hat on is that via a second mod’s invisible intervention the situation was not what 100% what it seems: but it sure as fuck wasn’t “I deleted ur post lol”, and it sure as fuck wasn’t “hey I see the other mod moved this thread back to FGD from XXX and I’ll base my further responses off of that useful information.” Bear in mind that two different mods thought that your threads were just crap. That’s on you.
If this is the worst thing that has happened to you in your life, I applaud your life’s amazingness. This is not the worst thing I’ve done as a mod. I’ve accidentally banned people. They hit me up offline and we straighten it out. It’s amazing how acting like an adult leads to reasonable solutions. If people remain unhappy that I made a mistake, I can rest confident in not caring about their opinion because they are pretty dumb people. You make mistakes, you learn from them, you get better. shrug
I deleted that apology part specifically because of Valaris’ later post (10 posts up). It wasn’t even addressed to you specifically, as is evident if you reread it as you still can since it’s quoted in Valaris’ post. It’s just pointing out the practical reality that being a mod involves displeasing some people, and that hopefully most people understand where it comes from.
Quit being a narcissistic crybaby. You fucked up in a forum I was moderating. You then fucked up again in a forum somebody else was moderating. Anything further after that is a consequence of your actions, and if you’re not man enough to realize that as this point in your life I’m sad for your parents.

I think I’ve been pretty fucking crystal clear about who I am as a person over the past fourteen years I’ve been involved with SRK, and if you’ve got any questions I would encourage you to man up and talk to me as a man as opposed to being an internet hero. Stupidest reason I have ever been banned from a forum was my own fault back when I was first getting online. I posted something stupid (think I was asking for a crack for some game) on some small Seattle gaming forum, couldn’t figure out how to delete it, and so just panicked and posted like ~200 times in a row hoping that the I’d hit some sort of post limit and the thread would delete my original terrible post. facepalm

If I was a mod, I would have two accounts. One for modding and one for posting. The modding account will be more of a dummy account that hardly post that just does it’s job and has a fake personality that I would portray and the non-mod account would just be me. That would mess with so many minds.

Trag banned me for all of 2014 from IRC #capcom for telling someone in the chat they fail at life for liking some shitty TV show I didn’t. In all fairness though when you log on to any efnet chat it says the mods can ban you at any time for no reason lol.
I was perma banned from Neogaf for calling someone immature. Again, in all fairness Neogaf is known to be super strict and a large chunk of it’s users possibly the majority even have been banned at some point. You can brosw any thread with at least 10 pages and see a ton of people who were banned

I got banned on a forum for explaining the Varg Vikernes story because it was racist and they said I was a neo-nazi.

I have been banned from two forums I believe. One was for a crappy sports team, the forum posters got mad at my analysis of that team, but I was right as that team became a laughingstock of the league shortly after and continued to be a joke. The other was an MMO forum, where I stated the devs were inept and the game would go F2P, which it did shortly thereafter.
I have also been banned from SRK for a couple of days. Hence why I know exactly how far I can go with my posts. I do not ever go into that subject now, as I understand how it just isn’t tolerated. Sometimes it feels like it’s the only thing you actually can’t do on here.
I almost got banned again when I came back. I kept getting warnings and infractions from two mods I never heard of, but then they abruptly stopped, even though I post the exact same way all the time. I almost got banned another time when someone got pissy at me, but Ronin stepped in and basically reamed him and he backed off. I am pretty bull headed and a ban really wouldn’t bother me that much because I’m usually so busy and my downtime is limited, by the time the busy periods are over the bans would likely run out anyway.
I actually might have some pretty big cases coming in soon that will probably take me out again so I might not be around. But it’s been kinda fun to just kick back and have some downtime again. SRK is way different than before, but it’s still one of the better forums I know of online (that’s more a testament to how bad almost everything else is though sadly, forums might be dying in general now).
I think most of us get really busy now, because we’re older. Unless I switch to government work I’m not sure how I’d have time consistently. I could theoretically do government work I suppose, I don’t really need that much money anymore. But it would be dumb to do that just to post on SRK haha.
I got banned for a few days on a poker forum for mocking some idiot that instead of replying in threads, he would make new threads. Thus he made like 25 threads about Phil Hellmuth in about 5 minutes when Hellmuth was winning his 11th WSOP title. So a few people including me were making new threads in the same vein to mock him.
We got banned, he didn’t.
