This game is sick, and a good part of that is the music kicking so much ass.
Please can someone get online play on this? If only we had that…
Thank you everyone at SRK for the kind words it is much appreciated.
It’s been hard work during the 4 years since V4. In total we created almost 150 remixes, 76 of which made it into V5.
At times it was hard, remixing some of SOR3’s crazy stuff was a challenge at times but it was a lot of fun too.
For those interested the remaining songs that didn’t make the cut were included in the Alternative Remix Pack which features 71 songs in ogg format so people can customise the V5 soundtrack as they see fit or indeed use them in SorMaker.

It seems like a friendly place here at SRK with a good following. I’ll shall probably pop here more often now, so i pick up a few tips & tricks on how to brush up my skills on SSFIV. I’ve been getting a right good kicking online recently.
I’d still place Ash low/high. He’d be the lowest of the high tiers. Can’t do a basic combo, have to interrupt with the dash which is okay up until level 3. He can do Police wherever and hilariously so, but damage-wise against bosses I think he’s not very good. He’s good for crowds of goons though. I’d still place Mr. X on top. Shiva I’d place Middle high. His jabs are undoubtedly good, but he doesn’t have a lot he can do against crowds, his damage isn’t too high either. Yeah, he’s got that loop, but that’s only good against one boss. The instant you’re fighting two bosses at once you have to end that loop with Special, then you have to try to get him in the loop again.
I think Max is High. I’d place him just below or just above Ash. The damage he does is absolutely insane. He can kill the fat dudes in one combo string, and maybe just a jump kick. His 3 Star Dash Attack (also special dash) does great damage and pins down the dudes who block everything. If he gets the dude in a head lock that’s almost a full bar of damage to a boss. If he body slams or gives the last ride to a boss that’s an easy half bar of damage. You like Shiva but he takes a while to kill bosses. Max just needs to get in twice and that’s it. I’d say that’s a fair trade.
What is vanilla SOR2 is that like vanilla SFIV? Or just a catchy phrase for the first edition? Ever time I read vanilla in these posts, I think of vanilla coke and I get nauseous.
edit: nvm I got it
is there something I’m suppose to do to get my SFIV FightPad to work ?
Hey, thanks for dropping in. Just wanted to say you guys did a phenomenal job on the project all around. Slow Moon is probably my favorite track in the SOR series and the remix made it even better. Hope you stick around.
Not sure, but don’t most of these hosting services require the files to be uploaded and checked by Apple (or Sony or Microsoft) to see if it’s eligible to be published first? That might be it.
In any case, I think so far the best characters are Shiva and Ash.
I’m still laughing about this
honestly i get a little offended cuz vanilla’s the only flavor of ice cream I’ll eat.
That song Max Man II is so much ass-kickingly good!
Did you do the dreamer remix? cause god damn is it sick. Best version of the song to be sure.
Somebody needs to do something this with the nes Double Dragon series with Double Dragon II (the best one) as the base.
Hey Groove, it’s d_signal from the Bombergames forum. Excellent work on the soundtrack.
Ah yes Dreamer that was indeed done by me, Thank you. When i made that remix I wanted to create a modern dance track with elements of chip thrown in for good measure. I used a similar style on Moon Beach too, choosing to use the classic Sor piano recreated in VOPM rather than use something more realistic.
Thanks Satomi hope you are well.
Rhio - i actually did a remix of Escape to the Forest from DD2 awhile back mixing 8bit and modern synths. I recently uploaded a remastered version on my 8bc page a couple of weeks ago. It’s not a game but if i ever got the chance to do a Double Dragon remake i would probably stick with that style.
Is there a faq up for the options? I assume SORR is back since the bandwidth is exceeded on the page.
Google: Open Bor. Look up Double Dragon.
There should be a manual in the game folder.
Does it occasionally sort of freeze up in terms of controls for anybody else using keyboard? The game doesn’t freeze, just I don’t seem to be able to attack sometimes. My character refuses to punch or anything. Doesn’t happen frequently, but still a few times a game. Haven’t tried it on gamepad yet, I wonder why it’s happening to me.
When people say the version of the characters, do you mean in options or is there a way to select different version of the character? I think the characters seem to be SOR3 versions. For some chars like Adam this isn’t bad, but for Axel in this game I’d prefer his SOR2 version.
You have to buy the option to change between the different versions of the characters at the shop first. It’s really cheap and you get a good variety, so I think it’s worth it to pick it up after you’re first time through the game. Then you just press the police button on the character on the select screen to scroll through them.
