Streets of Rage Remake (Updates in First Post)

 Wow, that really happened? That’s messed up!

^After 8 years of working on this it doesn’t shock me that they came up with some crazy ideas. I second that this game is hard. Go to the jungle with Adam and got raped in the woods. Will bring AI with me next time.

Been playing this like mad. The remixes of stage/boss battle themes are really well done. I also appreciate being able to change different features of the game to your liking if, for example, you may not be comfortable with the way weapons worked in SoR3 compared to SoR2.

Very good stuff. All about that Shiva and Rudra.

All this time, I’m still hoping that someway, somehow, Max can jump over enemies while grabbing them to result in an easier way to pull off the Butt Cracker. =/

Thanks very much for this, I def wasn’t going to beat the game a 100 times to unlock everything. The game is good but I just feel it is missing something, I tried all the charas and I’m not really that impressed, needed more moves or something. The stages are fantastic tho, some really, really great ones.

Only problem is that most the stages are still locked with a hacked save. I already beat the game 5 times or so trying to unlock everything, until I got the save, just want to play the stages I missed and see all the endings :(. I think Bareknuckle vacuum V5 has better gameplay but SORR def wins with attention to detail and stages.

Edit: Levels unlocked now savegame.sor

can someone please post a comprehensive list of all the Super/X-x-x moves

Particularly the level 3 ones.

Thanks

SEGA had it pulled off the site.

:frowning:

Probably because it got too much attention. See it’s all fine and dandy when only like a thousand people are following the game but as soon as news sites start posting about it and it clearly blows anything Sega has done with the property since SoR3 out of the water it’s a ‘problem.’

Fawk sega.

lammmme, didthis just happen? nothin on the blog yet

aww man i just went to DL this. how big is the file. anyway anyone can PM it to me

Ditto here. I just now remembered to go DL it, and it’s gone now.

It’s up on the pirate bay. It must be on some other mirrors too.

Mr. X is almost impossible on Very Hard. I beat him, but that guy keeps going off screen like mad.

Do you guys want me to upload this on a file site?

I just uploaded it to Megaupload: MEGAUPLOAD - The leading online storage and file delivery service

Just tested it and it works.

I’m thinking about torrenting it for people. Fucking Sega. This game is too good to not be shared. The Bombergames crew sent them at least one email originally asking permission to do this and there was no response I believe. This lead the crew to believe an implied “yes” was the answer. Even if that wasn’t the case, they’ve had 8 fucking years and 4 released revisions of this game to say something. Of course it isn’t until everyone on the web goes fucking nuts and well over a dozen gaming/standard websites pick up on the story that they decide to get butthurt about this. The original game is 20 years old for fucks sake. It’s not like Sega was doing much with the IP other than sprinkling releases of the old games here and there via Wii, iphone, etc. What a bunch of living shitpiles.

Er don’t know what to say, that was pretty quick, thanks very much again, I owe you.

While this game does kinda dick the sales of future re-releases of SoR games, I for one will not buy another SoR game again and I am a massive fan, Sega should be glad people are still enjoying what is essentially their content.

Maybe there are people who are being introduced to the series for the first time with this remake of SoR and for that, Sega should be thankful.

Sega should be thankful. This game could potentially revitalize the IP for them since they aren’t doing dick with it right now. And by “not doing dick with it” I mean “haven’t released any new SoR games for the last 16 years”. This is as close to SoR4 as we’re gonna get people. It just infuriates the shit out of me that these guys spent 8 years working their asses off on this and Sega could’ve put the kiabosh on this sooner. The only reason why they did now is because of the amount of hype this game is generating. Keep being Salty Sam’s about this Sega.
